Kosher Ham
The premise that man has dominion should lead us to be good stewards of the earth, not destroy it. Its God's creation, not ours. Indifference and greed are the culprits your looking for, not religion. If you CHOOSE to believe in that. Thing is, if God was perfect and the earth was perfect, we would never have lost so many lives for nothing. Greed and indifference aside.
@DCGoldPants
Not sure if this has blown over. The guy is still in hiding right now. I imagine it'll pop back up. Of course there will be countries like Iran or NK that will be happy to take money from rich foreigners. I think what we will see is that bringing back their trophies to the US is harder and harder. mcsluggo
It's no biggie if we destroy the environment and cause wholesale extinctions, because this is all just a test. Our eternal glory awaits in heaven and SuperGodDude will fix it all up anyway. that is a pretty weak and lazy position.
TradeTheBeal!
that is a pretty weak and lazy position. And yet, it has been widely believed and preached as gospel by billions of people for thousands of years.
mcsluggo
whatever. I'm pretty agnostic overall.... but your "arguments" do a fairly good job of making religion attractive to me. (now, if the religious folks would just shut the **** up, i could be completely sold)

@DCGoldPants
Wish I could dislike a post. Read an article about his controlled interview.. He's sounds like a guy who doesn't understand everybody knows he's been busted before to lying about hunting. Gives law following hunters a bad name. Even if you hate the act itself. There guy who can't operate within those broad rules shouldn't be doing it at all.

visionary
****s. http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/07/africa/zimbabwe-elephant-poaching/index.html?sr=cnnitw 14 elephants killed by cyanide in Zimbabwe Zimbabwean national park officials have confirmed that 11 elephants have been poisoned by cyanide in Hwange National Park, the same park where an American dentist killed Cecil the Lion in July, sparking international outrage. Three other elephants were found poisoned in Matusadona National Park in western Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority and Zimbabwean police told CNN they have arrested five suspects. A source in the national parks office says the elephants in Matusadona were poisoned deliberately, probably with orange peels laced with cyanide. Those in Hwange were poisoned using a salt lick spiked with the same poison. While four elephants were found with their tusks removed, others were found with the tusks attached, leading rangers to believe the poachers had been disrupted before the tusks could be removed, the parks office said. Several of the poached elephants were too young to have tusks; the youngest was 3 months old, the office said. "It is a horrible way to die," Carel Verhoef, a longtime professional African guide, told CNN from Cape Town, South Africa.

The unidentified German hunter shot the elephant this month outside Gonarezhou National Park, in the south of the country, said Louis Muller, chairman of the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association. The elephant had rarely been seen until it was killed this month, Muller said.
