ADF
He's lighting up the Bills tonight. He's hit 14 of 21 for 209 and 2 TDs in the first half. His line is protecting him well but he's getting rid of the ball quickly.
TK
The offense has the throttle wide open. Wonder if the Ol Ball Coach is taking notes. :dallasuck
Ancalagon the Black
Prepare for headlines tomorrow in the Washington Times: Another Redskin Castoff on Way to Pro Bowl... Personally, I'm pissed that we lost to a team whose offense can't put up more than three points in a half.
Skeletor The Invincible
Spurrier always has that in mind. But the problem the Redskins have that the Chiefs don't is that we can't protect Ramsey the same way the Chiefs are protecting Green. By the way, notice how the Chiefs ripped off the FSU/Braves warchant?
Canadian Hog
the fact of the matter is that most QBs in the league could put up the numbers Green is tonight with this type of protection up front. Wow, the Chiefs o-line is impressive
TK
With the protection he's got, Trent could drop back, get a pizza delivered, tip the delivery guy & still unload the ball for a score.
fuji869
Just think Trent was sitting on our bench for 3 season while Norv was trying to decide between Heath and Gus.

National Defense
he had his shot, remember all, we didn't match the $16 mil St louis gave him. in hindsight, we may have been better off sticking with TG and not dealing to get brad, but at the time it seemed like the right thing to do. especially after trent got injured the following summer. Mania
One of the reasons he didn't stick around was the fiasco with the ownership changing over from the Cooke family to Milstein/Snyder to Snyder. He got tired of waiting around for the ownership to give him a contract, whoever that was going to be.
Guest SkinsHokie Fan
I still sit around thinking "what the hell" with the whole Trent Green situation. A)Norv should have had him playing prior to 1998. I remember on Redskins report in 1995 Riggins saying that he looked the best in a preaseason game even if it was 3rd stringers. The whole ownership fiasco unfourtantley did force him out. Got a sweet deal from his home town C) Those 3 picks could have been crucial. Could have been McFarland (doubtful because of dumb and dumber on our dline) or Jevon Kearse. Another 2nd and 3rd round pick in that draft would have been dynamite. Really who knows what would have happened but of all the mistakes the FO has made over the past few years I think letting TG go was one of the biggest
The Sisko
I have played the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" game with TG for the past few seasons. I knew when I saw him run over a player to get into the endzone in the pre-season that he should have been our starter.
Riggo-toni
Trent Green didn't really blossom until Martz coached him up in '98. He was awful at the beginning, but by the end of the season it was obvious he had matured into a pro-bowl QB. While everyone was gushing over Jake Plummer that year, Green had much better stats for the 2nd half of the year. You have to hand it to Martz. For all his faults and arrogance, he is the best at developing QBs since Gibbs.
Henry
First of all Trent is playing behind arguably the best OL in the league. They are simply fantastic. Secondly, the REASON that line is so good is because the same five guys have taken every snap for the past 25 games. That's simply unheard of, and not something you can plan for. So if you want to blame someone for Trant looking so good now, blame God.

SonnyJ
He's also got a guy, I think his name is Holmes, running out of his backfield. I liked Green when he was here. Hell, I liked Johnson, too. But, those ships have sailed...
codeorama
The chief's offensive line an Green and Vermeil have been together for 2 complete seasons, this is the third. Last year, the Chiefs had problems at times, just like we do now.
MadMonkey
Everyone forgets that there was no ownership when Trent' contract was up, John Cooke's hands were tied by the Board of Trustees at that time preventing any players from being signed even our own players. By the time it all got figured out month's later Trent was snatched up by Vermeil and the Rams:(
Riggo-toni
Martz was the one who insisted Vermeil sign him. Vermeil actually wanted to stick w/ Tony Banks  Then they managed to trade Banks for (I think) a 1st rounder to that other brilliant offensive genius Billick
Jimmythehair
Trent Green is another player we lost that is doing great things right now. But I feel everything happens for a reason and I feel Patrick Ramsey will be better than Green, Johnson and Gannon.
