Everybody wants to draft WRs,ILBs and OGs, but how do you pass up

Austin Seferian-Jenkins if he's there at the 34th pick? I know he's not a need right now, but can you imagine him and Jordan Reed on this team?

I pass him up when I can get C.J. Fiedorowicz later who IMO isn't that far different

Shazier just reminds me so much of ST, something tells me there is nothing he can't do on defense, [within reason of coarse]

Although I thought he weighed in at 227lbs at 6'2"

We do need help at so many positions it's a tough call at any position this draft, lot's of talent in the 2nd through 4th rds.

Love it. Jimmie Ward is just so good.. Id have no problem taking him at 34 and Abberderis running routes is like football porn. I might go Landry at 34 though, that's just me.

You're too quick, I was still editting.

I was calling in to ESPN980 asking Cooley to do a break down of Ryan Clark and Chris Clemons.

Lol, they thought I was talking about Chris Clemons the DL.

C'mon guys (Galdi/Cooley) do your homework! lol

I like Ward alot at FS I'm very curious to see his 40 time at his pro-day.

So yeah, Marcus Smith is definitely my ideal replacement if Orakpo walks in FA

I have him 2nd-3rd round range. Best guess is he ends up going mid 2nd

Another option, If you miss the opportunity for M. Smith you can get a similar player later.

For me, similar principle applies for Jonathan Newsome compared to M. Smith.

Instead of a 3rd for MS, more like a 6th for JN.

Though MS moves with more authority, both same build, very close measurables, similar styles.

Dont disagree there, just a bit of a bigger fan of Smith and what he can provide earlier on

I think "tempo" is clearly in favor of M. Smith. I like him too. You might also call it more suddenness.

But it's just clear as day that we need multiple selections in the 2nd and 3rd. There's just too many guys worth something in those rounds and right now all we got is one shot in each round, need more.

Fully agreed, Makes me think we trade down from 34 unless there is just a top notch guy we can't pass up at all

Who fits better opposite Garcon, Robinson or M. Bryant?

Bryant, more of a deep threat with speed to take the top off a D and the size to win one on one. I'm warming up to the idea of taking him at 34. Don't think it would be a great value pick there but he's a great fit for the team and has excellent upside.

High ceiling but a very low floor. We need an impact starter day 1 at 34, and Bryant isn't that guy.

Not sure about the very low floor part. His measurables alone probably elevate him out of the "complete bust" risk. I'm not gonna disagree about needing an impact day 1 starter at 34, but I'm also not ready to write Bryant off. He fits Gruden's WR mold. Guarantee we have our eye on him.

Eh I would disagree about the measurables part. I had a late 3rd early 4th grade on him before the combine, as did many. He didn't run any variation of routes and really struggles catching for the first half of the year (although he got alot better towards the end). I also don't know about Grudens "wr mold". The only 3 WR he drafted that had an impact were Sanu 6'1, Jones 6'2 and Green 6'3, so doesn't necessarily need to be 6'4. I agree we will have an eye on him too, and Id be willing to bet he goes in the 2nd round. His size and speed make him a very polarizing player.

I don't think he's a value pick in the 2nd either but I don't think he's there in the 3rd and when you look at deep threats in this class he's the 3rd best guy.  Some team like SF won't worry about value on him, but not sure if we can afford that.  I loved the way he adjusted to the deep ball.  He's not like Hankerson, he's basically Aldrick in Hankerson's body.  I wouldn't be ecstatic about him in round 2 but he's a pick that I'd understand.

You could possibly move down a tad bit from #34 and still get him. I think a fair share of folks ballpark mid-to-late 2nd, but we're still clearly talking about 2nd round.

I like this.  Would love to land Bryant...he's like what, 6'5" and one of the fastest players out there (faster than Sammy Watkins).  He'd be literally a huge get and could really help the O stretch the field.
