While we are talking about the TWolves let me point out Zach LaVine.  We all knew the he was a super athlete thanks to that dunk contest with Aaron Gordon (one of the best ever).  I think people saw him as Terrance Ross type athletic role player, but this year he's suddenly averaging 21ppg with a 59.8 TS%.  Those are not role player numbers, especially not when you remember that he's only 21 years old.

It will be interesting to see how the TWolves handle things when it comes time to start resigning these guys.

I dont think that anyone, in a million years, would have pegged Lavine to be a more valuable player than Andrew Wiggins.  He's just another UCLA guy who comes in and exceeds expectations for how they're projected to be as a pro.

I know I talk about guys like KD, Lebron, KAT, AD, etc. being transcendent talents...however, I have ZERO reservations saying that Giannis Antetoumpaexkeoadckeadko will be the best player in the NBA before he's 30.  Dude is like a souped up version of Scottie Pippen.  Yet, he's only 22.  He's playing in a small market, but man....he's been tearing it up on both ends of the floor.  Depending on the lineup, he can play 4 positions, and don't even get me started about who he can defend.  He's like a NBA science experiment.  No one else in the league can take two steps from the 3 point line and lay the ball in with ease.

Yall might look at Kyrie a little funny after reading this.  He's a GREAT player when paired with Lebron.  However, the numbers don't lie.  Also, when Lebron isn't playing but Kyrie/Love are, they are 4-10.  Just some food for thought...

What’s the correlation between the cellar-dwelling Sixers and Nets and the defending champs? The loss dropped Cleveland’s record to just 4-18 in games in which James didn’t play since the start of the 2014-15 season, when he returned for a second stint with the franchise. That’s a winning percentage of just .182.

I honestly dont think they even try when hes not on the floor. All they have to do is make the playoffs and watch him go.

I've been a believer in Lebron James' ability to win with anyone since this game:

This was the day after the blockbuster Ben Wallace trade.  Just look at the Cleveland roster.  They won the game.  Unreal.

I used to argue that Mike was the greatest player of all time.  Honestly, if anyone says Lebron, I won't argue it.

His ability is not questionable. Im not a fan, to say it lightly lol. But I think the best thing that ever happened to him was Kyrie. And im not a fan of him either (WizKid here so hatehatehatehatehate)

But being objective, literally the only thing Lebron cant do is finish it when the pressure is on. But with Kyrie being the killer he is, I cant see them losing cause they fit so perfect with each other. And it makes me sick everyday that I have to live like this.

You hit the nail on the head.  Kyrie was almost in the closer role in the playoffs.  Perfect combo to come back from that 3-1 deficit.  Lebron is the straw that stirs the drink 99.6% of the time.  That .4% is Kyrie being one of the ice cubes.

Exactly. They can be unstoppable.

And I hate it.

Kyrie has been overrated his whole basketball career.  He's like Ray Allen, a specialist who does a few things on offense so spectacularly well that he can be a legit #2 or #3 option on a championship caliber team.  He is a truly lethal off the dribble scorer and a quality spot up shooter as well.  But that doesn't change the fact that he has a very limited game and a Kyrie Irving led team will never amount to anything.  His career was going nowhere before LeBron showed up and rescued the franchise.

No player has had the level of impact and control over their team that LeBron has had over this Cleveland team since the early days of the league.  Their success boils down to this: Any team LeBron plays for is going to win at least two thirds of their games and that's been good enough for a top two seed in the East for the past ten seasons.  And then when playoff time comes around, LeBron at least gives you a chance to win a seven games series against almost anyone, especially since LeBron has faced a true championship contender in the conference since the decline of the Big 3 Celtics during his first season in Miami.  Cleveland's roster isn't actually that great sans LeBron, everything has been built to compliment his massively expansive game.

And as great as he is, they're going to get waxed by Golden State in the Finals.  GS has a real chance of going 4-4-4-4.
