Truant
Saw this coming. It's too bad. Rabach has more lives than the Chelsire cat. We'll find something... there are other options besides Kalil.
Dallascrushers
I have a feeling that Tampa may franchise Davin Joseph so there would go the other inside linemen we were looking to get...looks like we are going to need the draft more than ever...and we don't have many picks either
papaSkins27
Samson Satele OR Stefen Wisniewski with Will Montgomery as depth! I'm just hoping we don't roll with Rabach again...:twitch:
Chicken Fried
Damn the franchise tag. It's not like we ever use it either.
Dallascrushers
Damn the franchise tag. It's not like we ever use it either. hahaha this is probably the worst thing to say, but it is because we have no one that is worth using it on
TD_washingtonredskins
Honestly, I really hope the WORST-CASE SCENARIO is to roll with Montgomery and sign depth. I hope that Rabach is not in the plans under any circumstances.
GhostofSparta
Damnit. Damn the franchise tag. It's not like we ever use it either. It's not like we have a plethora of talent that we need to use it. Who would we tag this year, Rogers or Moss? That's about it, and neither is worth top 5 money. fdarugar
I don't think I can deal with the another season of Rabach...who is the next best center that fits the scheme?
flock53
Jonathan Goodwin at C and David Baas at OG
TD_washingtonredskins
Jonathan Goodwin at C and David Baas at OG Maybe...that could work. However, at some point you have to wonder if going FA is the best path (as the talent of the guys we'd be signing goes down).
SkinsHokieFan
Damn, he was the one guy I hoped we'd spend big bucks on. Well, lesson learned. Start to draft and develop our own talent

Start to draft and develop our own talent HELLO...............WE DONT HAVE PICKS. A 3rd and a 4th is where youd want to land a fringe instant starter or a developement type that will in a year or two.
The Full Monty
Rabach = worse starting center in the league. collective facepalm and damnation upon the Panthers.
papaSkins27
Jonathan Goodwin at C and David Baas at OG Goodwin is 32, not what we need right now on the OL. Baas most likely gets locked up in San Fran though I would definitely bring him in for a looksy if he didn't, but isn't he more of a power blocking OL? Not sure if he fits. flock53
We also have a POOR defense that needs pieces.............NO WAY we can address everything w/OUT FAgency

Its clear the best teams in the NFL are draft and develop teams. Our way of building a team has been a failure

SkinsHokieFan
Either way CAN work, just have to get FA earlier rather then later in their carreers Actually the FA "big class" route is a proven failure. we have seen it this past decade. Look at the Superbowl teams this year. Built by the draft. Colts and Pats built by the draft. Eagles built by the draft You add in an FA here or there. I digress though. Our fan base wants big splashes and so does the owners. Hopefully the GM and HC see the folly in this method

We do it the other way around and well....
MWCREDSKINS
Dissapointing he was the number 1 guy I wanted. I think Lichtensteiger may ultimately be the center if we find better guards
lou4gehrig
Maybe the league will invent some sort of system whereby you can select and sign young, unproven players (not tied to any current) teams that are cheap and fill your needs. Then we could get a center that way. Not sure why we always have to fill needs with expensive free agents from other teams. Aren't we suppose to be doing things the right way from now on?
