Posted October 6, 2010 Author Share Posted October 6, 2010 Robert De Niro will play a younger Vince Lombardi in an upcoming film depicting when he took over the team in 1959 and turned them into an NFL powerhouse. "Lombardi" will be produced by ESPN Films. and De Niro's Tribeca Productions. Eric Roth, who wrote screenplays for "Forrest Gump" and "The Good Shepherd," is part of the project.
