Interested to see how Wall plays him tonight. Gortat has probably "rolled" on the pick n roll more times this year than Okafor did all of last season, makes a big difference on offense. Our schedule sucks. It's like the NBA was intentionally setting us up for a classic Wizards season: awful start that kills our hopes for the year right off the bat. Then the easier schedule so we can make a late season push that kills our lotto chances and gets the FO an extension. I want to see the rule book entry for continuation calls. I imagine it reads something like, "If the player is fouled before he releases his shot, but in the natural motion of a scoring move, then the basket shall count. Except **** the Wizards." Also I don't understand why that's a blocking foul on Gortat but what Kyle Lowry did to Wall wasn't a blocking foul. Because Lowry fell down? Honestly, down by five isn't that bad for Wall getting into foul trouble in the first and Beal and Nene going out early than they usually do. God Maynor is awful. They could probably call an offensive foul on Hansbrough every single time he touches the ball. We got 3 or 4 players on our 2nd unit who are not NBA quality.
