What an excellent atmosphere. I knew from last week's match these guys had a strong support.

The game at their place a few years back was awesome.

Only held 25 thousand or so but they had rhe flares going and the smoke bombs and the atmosphere was electric.

Istanbul is a fantastic City to watch football if you respect them and their Nation/ religion. Never failed to not have a brilliant time there my 3 visits. Real nice people. (Galatasary, Besiktas, and rhat glorious night 10 years ago May 25.).

Hail.

Amazing what a partnership brings huh?

But hey, what would we know?

Marios lazy and crap right? Isn't that the (ill

Imformed, media fed) ES rhetoric?

Hail.

He's won 5 free kicks in the first 30 minutes now.

I dont' know why I never been to Istanbul, always hearing great things about the city......

For such an inpoverished people, as the majority are, Turks are some of rhe friendliest people I've ever met.

Ended up guests of honour at a wedding our first visit and all we were doing was walking past the reception but thats another story I've told on these pages before lol.

Some of the warmest welcome I ever received while traveling was from people living in such poverty.

I'm not romanticizing some socialist bull**** about money being evil but sometimes people are just people all over the world.

It's all about personal experiences really but I think the very last word Leeds fans would use to describe Galatasary fans would be 'friendly'.

I am going to be diplomatic and respect your disgracefull loss.

Lets just say theres ways and means of travelling and respecting another Country. Particularly a Muslim one. Utd, Chelsea and Leeds could well heed that.

And thats not to justify what happened. Or to say we don't have our own share of knobheads.

But we're the only English team not to go looking for it and not to have any trouble in Isranbul.

No conincidence that.

pretty funny stuff...

 #Respect

Though... best GF I ever had (before my wife of course) was an Eagles fan.

Best sex ever was Luca Toni's cousin.  We watched him win the world cup together.  THAT was a day.  She straight stole my heart and took it back to South America with her.

Was Turkey more friendly than parts of IZ/AF?  Absolutely.

You've turned a comment about Turkish football fans into one about Liverpool..

I'll just say that we all know Leeds fans have never been angels but Turkish fans have a similar bad reputation. No nation that has fans openly carrying knives are not what I would call 'friendly'. As with almost every set of supporters you'll get good sides and rougher sides to a fan base. The likes of Galatasary aren't even worth the number of expletives I could use to describe them, 'friendly' just doesn't apply to them as a whole.

Just had to get that straight.
