SKOALSKIN
I'll drop a 5th on a starter any day of the week.
authentic
Al and Carriker would play end in a 3-4. Sounds fine to me. This gives us a complete 3-4 defensive line. Maybe he's taking Daniels slot? You could be right. I guess we shouldn't assume that PD will be the unquestioned starter.

Gibbs Hog Heaven
just to be clear, the 5th rounder doesnt seem set in stone. schefter is saying he doesnt know what we are trading.Per his twitter: Rams traded former first-round pick Adam Carricker to Redskins. Still awaiting word on what the Rams get in return. *Let's mind drift ..... Please let it be a cunning ploy to send the Rams Campbell, and let the Sooner fall into our laps at 4. Continue on ..... jkypoo
I'm okay with this. A 5th for a starter is not a bad deal at all. And we seem to be stocking up on d-line? Hmm...
SKOALSKIN
These DT acquisitons are allowing us to move the big chess piece. AH your days are numbered my friend.

TD_washingtonredskins
At this time that is the sad truth. Remind me what we did with our 4th round pick. I know the 2nd = McNabb, the 3rd = Jarmon, and 5th = Carriker.
MrJL
Maybe we've got a plan to get more picks? Imagine what this board would have been like when George Allen was in charge.
Santana_89
Jason Reid and the rest of the Redskins media must be pissed off that Schefter breaks all the Skins news. :ols: Considering JLC was the one talking about the Redskins were getting ready to do something this week. He should've been all over this:loser:.

tml6157
You get a very young starting 3-4 DE for a 5th round pick. The bust rate of a 5th round pick is VERY high. To basically draft a starter with this years 5th round pick would be excellent. Essentially thats what we just did. Carriker is way better suited for a 3-4 DE then a 4-3 DT. Its a very good chance he has a bust out year here. VERY GOOD TRADE!

JaimeDeCurry
Why do people assume this guy is going to be an effective starter? 2008 15 games (9 starts), 22 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 passes defensed, 0 forced fumbles 2007 16 games (16 starts), 30 tackles, 2 sacks, 1 pass defensed, 0 forced fumbles Bustron5000
ohioskins
Would Bradford slide now??? Suh 1st overall. Not saying it's going to happen, but??? Hopefully we gave a 5th and Campbell...
