Mr. Sinister
I can't wait to see the kind of damage Rak will be able to do in Hasletts defense this year. Hopefully he can get 13 - 17 this year.
Hitman21ST
Orakpo > Ware We'll be able to prove it objectively this year, with both playing OLB.
MisterPinstripe
Orakpo < WareWe'll be able to prove it objectively this year, with both playing OLB. We will be able to prove that Orakpo is not better than Ware? Why would we want to prove that?

Hitman21ST
So does a 3-4 OLB have a better chance at beating his blocker than the same player as a 4-3 DE?
Skin'Em84
So does a 3-4 OLB have a better chance at beating his blocker than the same player as a 4-3 DE? From what I understand he has a more variations in his blitzing than a 4-3 end would.
Dukes and Skins
So does a 3-4 OLB have a better chance at beating his blocker than the same player as a 4-3 DE? It all depends on the explosive step of the player. Certainly someone like Orakpo who has a very explosive first step will do a lot better in the 3-4 OLB position IMO then someone like Kedric Golston who is better suited as a 3-4 DE who stuffs the run and then makes a play here and there in terms of sacks or tackles for loss It really all depends on the explosion step and there ability to use their hands to get after their OT or who ever is blocking them
skins2victory
So does a 3-4 OLB have a better chance at beating his blocker than the same player as a 4-3 DE? Well for one thing, its already been stated that Rak's roll will entitle rushing the passer more than last year. That will increase production alone. But yes the scheme should help too.
