corrupt3d
http://twitter.com/RickMaese/status/7950396196 So SJackson, DSmith an KOlivadotti all retained. Among those not kept: SSmith, SMitchell, CMeidt, SWachenheim, JGray, JPalermo, SHixon interesting, a little contrarian to what we've heard about Wachenheim and Meidt. McD5
Stan Hixon. Possibly the worst coach in Redskins history, literally. You haven't done anything with any of our wide receivers. You suck Stan. Your free ride is over. Kiss the baby, and beat feet. This is a great day in Redskins history! :groupwave::point2sky:point2sky:groupwave:

Gibbs Hog Heaven
First disappointments of the Coach Mike era. I'd love to hear a valid reason why Danny Smith, and more so Steven "tackling? WTF is that ****? We don't need no stinking tackling" Jackson have somehow clung onto their jobs. . Hail.
Hunter_R
Danny Smith is still here? Why? I guess punt and kickoff returns aren't very important in the NFL.
texasthunder
Well OK. I was alittle surprised at the talk about keeping Meidt, and thought with him being retained, they were looking for some continuity for Campbell. But there ware some reports that Kyle was going to be the QB coach/OC, so maybe that is the direction they are going with.
scruffylookin
So with Jackson staying does this mean Shanahan isn't bringing in Slowik to run the secondary?

MWCREDSKINS
Steve Jackson needed to go more than any coach, I am dissapointed he's staying. I'd rather have kept Gray. Wachenheim should stay as well, look at Fred Davis' development

holmester
Disappointed about Danny Smith staying and Steve Jackson. What on earth does he bring to our defensive staff?I also wish we had kept Wachenheim. I would like to know what our special teams were ranked in terms of coverage. I mean its not Danny's fault that we have zero team speed and our return men were rock and ARE. You can't teach speed. Jackson on the other hand is a clown. He publicly states that he thinks our most underachieving player (laron) is better then polamolu. Great motivation tactic you moron.
Brandon Lloyd Christmas
burney is the new DL coach right. is he currently working on acquiring every current browns defensive lineman?

Great motivation tactic you moron. you never know though, maybe jackson thought gray and blache were both clowns and his guys werent getting used the way he wanted them to be? maybe he was retained because shanny thought he was the only non moron on that side of the ball? santana_4_prez
Ya know, I wonder if other teams fans get fired up over assistant-assistant coaches? I think we tend to over analyze this stuff on ES.
ntotoro
right.is he currently working on acquiring every current browns defensive lineman? All Courtney Brown needs is a change of scenery. It was the DB's who made him look bad...

brutality
Danny Smith was retained because he's actually not a bad special teams coach. before this year we were actually pretty good on special teams. The lose of some key players and ARE's deteriorating eye-hand coordination, coupled with his increasing fear to take a hit while attempting to make something happen on a punt return are the main reasons for our poor special teams as I can see it.
