Just read this on Insider did a search coulnt find it.

We've been following the rumblings on the next NFL destination for Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens, with the latest rumor coming through on Sunday that he might be headed to the Redskins if Mike Shanahan is indeed hired as the head coach.

But there's also a chance he could retire at the end of this season. Wait ... what? "Sometimes things must come 2 an end, u hv 2 move on & accept wht life has 2 offer. So looking 4wd to 2010," Owens tweeted late Sunday night. He must've been hit with blizzard of retirement inquiries following that jumble of alphanumerics, because about an hour later he tweeted, "Ummmmmm No, I'm nt retiring!!! Lol! Nt just yet!!"

So there you go. Perhaps the talk of moving on is a sign that he won't be back in Buffalo next season, and the accepting what life has to offer part has to do with the reduced salary he can expect on the open market.

The Buffalo News had word recently that Terrell Owens was open to returning to Buffalo, and likewise the Sacramento Bee noted that he was interested in a San Fran reunion. In the midst of a scouting report on the Bills -- done by an anonymous AFC Scout for the Boston Globe this past week -- Owens was described as a player who can be a complementary possession WR for a team that already has a superstar at WR1, and the scout confirmed that T.O. likely had two to three years left in the NFL.

Using that parameter -- and bear in mind this is pure speculation at such an early point -- we could see the Texans, Panthers, Bucs, Bengals, Lions and Chargers all taking a look based on current depth charts.

But there could be a wildcard in the mix. On "Sunday NFL Countdown", senior NFL reporter Chris Mortensen noted that the Washington Redskins might make a play for T.O. following their rumored hire of Mike Shanahan as the team's next head coach. It is widely believed that Shanahan thinks highly of T.O., and he would provide a great weapon in the passing game for whichever QB takes over for Jason Campbell in Shanahan's offense in 2010.

Meh, we've been hearing that TO was about to become a Redskin every year for five years now. With the improvement of Thomas and to a lesser degree Kelly and with Moss still serviceable there's no place for him. Certainly not at any price above vet min which TO would not accept.

Is TO a free agent at the end of this season?
