qcraftsman
The way the Skins have played the last few weeks starting with the Broncos game it has shown we don't need Portis!!! Keep Ganther, Betts, Rock and possibly Mason. These guys are running with one of the worse o lines in the NFL and getting it done. How will they run with some great upgrades at o line??? terrifNick21
Get rid of Portis and Betts. Keep Ganther and sign another running back or draft one.
qcraftsman
No don't waist a draft pick on a RB when we have 4 guys that can do it now. Use the draft pick on the o lineman instead.
nittydachamp
portis done, but you know that's synder pride and joy.
terrifNick21
None are home run hitters. We DESPERATELY need one. Almost every winning team has one. I'm tired of knowing that no matter who carries the ball, it won't be any longer than 15 yards.
WARLORD1863
I love Portis, but the performance thusfar without him has been stellar. If he comes back I hope he is his old self... but if he's not then he needs to be shipped out.
TheGoodBits
No cap next year=we can cut Portis. And we need to. He costs too much money and doesn't add anything to the team. He's not a prima donna attitude and brings the team down. Time to show him the door.
NoVaSkins21
Portis' time here is clearly done, but in order to cut his @ss, this team is going to need a competent GM who help them absorb the cap hit his release is going to bring. If there's no cap, then it's easier, but they still need a competent GM.

indyskins
Agreed. agree too, why was mason getting all those short yardage crucial carries? i love cp, but hard to justify keeping him around now if we can get some relief cutting him or trading him with no cap next year. Hubbs
There are numerous backs we can get in the middle rounds that could form an effective committee with Rock and Quinton. Portis can go not practice somewhere else.
Brett81
The way the Skins have played the last few weeks starting with the Broncos game it has shown we don't need Portis!!! Keep Ganther, Betts, Rock and possibly Mason. At this rate, with him coming off an injury that may very well end his career in D.C., the Skins DON'T NEED Betts either (especially considering he'll be entering his 9th yr). Let Rock start at RB and keep DT on KO duties and punts as well.

isaacis881
I like portis but it does appear the end is near. I would love to see youth at the RB spot kinda like what we are seeing with our WR's.

I like what Ganther's done, but you might be getting a little ahead of yourself here. Ray Rice is crazy good.
TD_washingtonredskins
Portis will rush for a buck just to cool down ES Here we go...it's CP's brother here to tell us why an injury-prone, worn down, 30-year old RB deserves to be our long-term solution in the backfield. veteranskinsfan
Did you see the Giants running back go for a long run against Dallas tonight? He is big and strong. He can pull off the long run. We have no home run threat right now.
