bishtw
This is the weekly thread where you say good things about the city of the team the Skins are playing in hopes of bringing good karma for the Skins to help earn the "W". Detroit has for a long times produced some of the most beautiful cars in the world. Detroit brought us some of the most talented musicians ever. The movie Dr. Detroit rocked!!!!!!!!! McD5
Detroit's current GM is former Redskin, Martin Mayhew. I always wish continued success for former Skins, and him especially. He is a very down to earth guy, and has a great sense of humor. Also, Detroit is very close to Windsor, Canada. Voted the cleanest city in all of North America. bishtw
Uhhhhh... is it bad karma to misspell the word karma in the thread title? I misspelled in the first one I did a while back and so I don't want to have any bad juju by changing it. It worked last week didn't it? But thanks for the help Mr. Spell Check. Detroit has some of the best nicknames for any city, Motown and The Motor City.

As for the Good Krama: Michigan has positively one of the best accents of all time. In my mind they're tied with Boston for the best sounding accent in the US. jkypoo
Uhhhhh... is it bad karma to misspell the word karma in the thread title? It's not pronounced "car-mah." It's pronounced: You called? And, apparently, Detroit is the new Hollywood. Given the vacuum created by the auto-worker layoffs, Studios are being built, property is being bought, films are being made. Who knew? Good-on-ya, Detroit!
herrmag
It's not pronounced "car-mah." C'mon guys, wake up. If you think there's something obviously wrong in the thread title, might want to read a couple of posts in the thread. Lions are cooler than tinmen and scarecrows. They landed the job after getting fired in Dallass after airing false reports about Britney Spears and N'Sync's Justin Timberlake in a car accident. Any city that serves as a refuge to pepole that pissed off the whole city of Dallass can't be all bad. http://www.allbusiness.com/services/business-services-miscellaneous-business/4742344-1.html

Wyvern
Detroit -- time-honored sports town -- it's got franchises in almost every sport -- (Lions, Tigers, Pistons, Redwings) and a dedicated fanbase. In addition to to MIS for racing fans, I seem to recall there was once even a Detroit Grand Prix. Michigan offers its visitors some great recreational choices, like the shores of the Great Lakes as well a large forested parks. The upper peninsula is still one of the more 'undiscovered" areas. Is that good enough, krama?
