MattFancy
http://chriscooley47.blogspot.com/2009/06/cow-fire.html What do you guys think of this? He's now asking if he should post the video. I just have a bad feeling about the backlash coming from this. I don't think its one of his brightest ideas.
DarrellsMyHero28
Its a dead cow. Its a freaking DEAD COW! Anyone that's upset by this should be slapped.
MattFancy
Its a dead cow.Its a freaking DEAD COW! Anyone that's upset by this should be slapped. I agree. It would be different if it was still alive. But I see PETA and some others getting a little uptight about it.
zCommander
Maybe they should join the Cult of the Dead Cow.

Justsomeguy
PETA undoubtedly will spend thousands of dollars combating this horrible treatment that people pay money to have done to them when they die. Cooley should have put him up in a dead cow hotel.
McD5
Yeah, nothing to be gained by this. Nothing good could possibly come of it. Pass.
Blackest Eyes
While burning the cow may have been the proper thing to do, I don't think posting the video would be wise.

DCeeingIsBelieving
Lol. People get worked up over nothing. It's not like he's running around the city burning people's cattle. "My only other response would be that my second thought -- as a big-time steak-lover -- was the loss of all that great meat. What a shame." -- http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/06/29/chris-cooley-burns-a-dead-cow-blogs-about-the-experience/

Adam291
Meh, I don't think it's worth risking backlash to post this silly kind of video. I like Cooley's blog more during the season when it's a little more related to actual football.

Posting this about burning a cow is not a smart move for Cooley.

InsaneBoost
If you read below his blog: Christie Lopez at 7:47pm June 29 As the Director for adoptions for a rescue, an animal rights activist, a Vet Tech and a member of the HSUS this is not an act of cruelty. It all rights burning the corpse of a dead farm animal is the right thing to do to stop the spread of disease. As an animal lover yes it is hard to see it but it was the right thing to do to save the other animals around.
B.Rob
Also... Anonymous said...How else are you supposed to rid a 1200 lbs cow off your land? This is pretty SOP for ppl with land. June 29, 2009 8:35 PM

scruffylookin
As an animal rights guy I don't have a problem with the act itself. It does make sense that if the cow is dead, you will need to get rid of the remains somehow. I'm not sure I'm a fan of videotaping it and showing it for a form of sick entertainment for some sad pathetic people.
Soup
I wonder why cooley would post something like that when you know people will go nuts over it? Why does he feel the need to show people that; couldn't he just keep it to himself? He is an odd one
GroundNPound
LOL. I am just cracked up by how many people are taking this seriously. He hasn't posted the video and the "after" picture looks like, if anything, he stuffed C4 up the cows butt. Hint?
Burgold
Mark me down as one who probably isn't opposed to the action, but would be against the voyeurism of people getting their giggles watching it.
