A Dozen Current QBs Better Than Romo...

Recommended Posts

Of the QBs left in the playoffs, Warner, Favre, and Manning are better than Romo sits to pee. Rivers is good but maybe a bit overrated. I want to see Brees win a big playoff game or 2.

But Romo sits to pee had a great year, for sure. Looks like he's really matured as a QB. I hope he choke soons, though! :)

So basically saying you think he's in discussion for the top 6 or so rather than top 12?

As I said before Romo sits to pee is the second highest rated passer of all time, and was top 4 fastest to throw 100 TDs as well as one of the winningest ever over the first 50 games of their career. He garners a lot of hate but he really is very very good.

He's a... :puke:... good QB. Very very good would be a proven QB like Brett Favre. The regular season stats are meaningless. Few really good QB's got the opportunity to sit on the sidelines and learn the game for 3.5 seasons. Most of them started their first game in their first or second year. Romo sits to pee, on the other hand, was a seasoned vet by the time he got to play. His only competition with comparable experience are the few rare non-journeymen QB's who got a late start, like Kurt Warner. Oh yean, and QB's from earlier eras. It's for that same reason that Aaron Rodgers looks like a good bet to challenge most of Romo sits to pee's "fastest start" records.

Thats probably because he was a UFA....

Damn, I still can't beleive how lucky those suckers got

A. Rodgers is a beast....whats his playoff record? LMBO

dude put up 422 yds and 4 TD and 45 points...shouldnt have been in OT to begin with however
I'm sure Warner thought the same thing. Neither side played defense. Both QB's benefitted from it. Rodgers just turned the ball over one time too many.
....if you wanna take him off the list of QB's better then Romo sits to pee, I wont argue.
Romo sits to pee finally managed to not choke away a playoff game. I would say that gives him the edge over Rodgers.

I'm no GB fan, but Aaron Rodgers did not choke on sunday. How does one "choke" when they bring a team back from that deficit and force overtime?

Also- the OT fumble should have been called back due to blatant facemask penalty on the part of the Arizona sacker.

Choke is one of those words that people are allowed to fling around with reckless abandon. It's like "socialist," "literally," and "real American" in that it can mean whatever a person wants it to mean at any given time.

IMO the Top 5 QBs are

1.) PManning

2.) TBrady (let's wait untill he has a full healthy offseason before we say he's done)

3.) BRothlisberger

4.) DBrees (subject to playoffs)

5.) PRivers

________________________________________________________________

After that in no particular order

TRomo, ARogers, Favre, EManning, McNabb, Warner, CPalmer

All in all, Tr1 insn't too far off from the dozen QBs better because imo 6-12 is very debatable (ofcourse more people took offense to Campbell being higher than Romo sits to pee). JMO, Romo sits to pee's not at the bottom of the list, even before this year, Rogers and Palmer had 0 playoff wins and Favre was retired.

Curious, what has Favre done lately?

You do realize that your golden child Favre didn't start his first year, right?

You must not have played sports or been in combat. Sitting on the bench and playing on the practice squad isn't even close to real-time play.

You don't start learning to trust your instincts until the bullets are flying.

In 2006 Romo sits to pee mishandled the hold for the field goal and you guys said that is a choker job. Now Aaron Rodger fumbled the ball and lost the game. But he is not a choker ?

I see double standard here.

Um, there's a bit of a difference between a chip shot fg hold and actual play.

You do agree, don't you?

Wait you mean Romo sits to pee was being hit by a 300+ DLman from behind and having his face masked jerked when he fumble the snap?

wow they are exactly the same

No one said they were exactly the same...but the out come of the game is the same......Based on what the QB did....Both Romo sits to pee and Rodgers cost their team a win.....Go read the Packers forum, you will find a few of their fans are saying the same thing.....Kind of dumb? sure it is because both Qb's played lights out for most of the game but bottom line it came down to crunch time and both Qb's could not get it done......Does it make either QB any worse....no it does not, but since Romo sits to pee is the Boys QB for certain Redskin fans it does....there is your double standard

I find it funny that most people forget that the league instantly changed the rules on how kicking balls were handled during games because some minimum wage seahawk flunkie slipped a brand new non-rubbed down ball in for that play. Brand new balls from the factory have a protective coating that might as well be vegtable oil. Not many people would have handled that snap with that ball.

I thought his 'small hands' was the preferable excuse...

How many times has Rodgers been to the playoffs?

Favre may be a jackass but any football fan could fairly claim his as a "golden child" among QBs. And next time, leave smarmy assumptions about a poster's personal life (like the crap below) out of your posts. :)
