No agent worth his salt is gonna sign with any team without waiting for Vinny's ridiculous contract offer and deciding whether they want to get paid or win. Couldn't agree more. All you have to do is read the SI article by Peter King to see how the Canty negotiations went down. The agent says at one point " washington was on the top of our list. They pay well and they pay fast. " The agents job is to get the biggest possible offer for his client and any agent worth his money is going to get in touch with the skins. I mean we all knew they had been talking. There was an article about it. But nobody can testify about it being a conversation about kelly or haynesworth....well everybody will say it was about Kelly. AJWatson3 Posted March 11, 2009 Share Posted March 11, 2009 So as far as the Titans having a problem with re-signing Haynesworth... was the problem that we tampered with he and his agent, or was the problem that they didn't offer enough freakin' money? Seems like if they wanted to keep they should have opened up the vault. It's not like they couldn't have negotiated with him and offered him a blockbuster deal at any time over the past 2 seasons.
