mi6
Rock Cartwright? Chris Cooley. And, it purely speculative ... but, I think Chris Horton, and LaRon Landry.
rstwrt24
Because Sean Taylor dying is EXACTLY like Landry signing with' date=' like, the Raiders.Anyway...I for one look forward to a 34 year Landry limping his way around Obama Stadium. (By the way, if there was anybody ever destined to play out his twilight years in Oakland, it is Laron Landry).[/quote'] That made me laugh .... a lot
NastyBoy
I hope Cooley can. For the most part anyways. There's always that awkward unproductive year or two with another team that never fits you at the end of your career. *ahem* Jason Taylor *ahem. Cooley for sure. I sure hope I see him in burgundy & gold for the remainder of his career. SamuelsCooley Landry Brennan Cartwrite Mcintosh Like this list a lot, but as sad as it would be to see him go, if there was a way to jettison the team of Saumels contract, I'd be on that like fat on a mother in law! Why does it matter? Seriously?Just because Johnny Toughbritches played every down from 1942 to 1953' date=' why do players today have to do it?[/quote'] I agree with this completely also. Cooley is my main guy, but the reality of the situation is I love this team more than any individual player, and in pro football, teams have to recognize when the dollars and production don't make a successful marriage any longer........and turn the page. That's hard to do, because we as fans become invested in individuals and appreciate what they've given to the team, but the reality is you have to have the ability to ignore that in the front office and make tough decisions that are, in the long run, in the best interest of the team. Some teams do that awfully well, and are rewarded for it. Is there an abundance of overpaid guys in New England? Sure they have a few, but they've let some high profile guys walk and haven't skipped a beat. Sometimes you've just gotta know when to say......"when". Andre3stacks
IF Sean Taylor didn't die without a damn doubt I know he would have stayed with us. looking at this team right now I doubt it.
redskins0756
Not in today's NFL. Agreed. Rarely does that ever happen anymore. Even guys who have had their entire careers on a particular team are moving on to other teams when they're older. Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas to name a few. Renegade7
Jason Campbell is going to shock the world this coming season. Unless Snyder totally turns his back on him later in his career for some 1st round draft pick, Campbell will finish is career here with at least one championship. Watch. NewCliche21
I'll go with Samuels, Cooley, and Landry. But just because a player doesn't spend his whole career here doesn't mean much. Sonny didn't and Art didn't, but they still spent the years that mattered here. Is that more what you're asking, or do you mean JUST in the Darrell Green way? OVCChairman
I personally would love to see Cooley, Cartwright, and Sellars stay with the team for their whole career. I dont see Sellars going anywhere, and from what i can tell Cooley sure seems happy here in DC. As for Cartwright, i think he likes it here, but i could see Snyder making a move and getting rid of him (not what i want). just my :twocents:
wildbill1952
And here I am talking about a significant career, not some one who gets cut or injured. Shucks. I had your answer until you threw that in. "Probably any draft pick we make after the third round, unless Vinny's keeping them to make his drafting skills look good like he did in 2008." Going Commando
It's looking like Jansen is going to do it. I agree. good for him.
NawtyMagazine
Yeah, that's true. Maybe somebody like Rock or Big Mike. No superstar faces of the franchise though. We would have released Darryl Green... mike sellers played for us then the browns then canada then back to us, and its darrell:doh:
JoeKnowsBest
Jon Jansen... the current Mr. Redskin. I honestly thought ST had a chance, but no sense in thinking of what could have been. Hopefully Landry, Samuels, and Cooley will.
IONTOP
Jon Jansen... the current Mr. Redskin. Whoa, whoa... What round did we draft Jansen in? I could have sworn we got him in the 2004 season from the Jets... Edited... Okay I'm drunk...

smokinskinsfan
Short answer, No...the league just isn't built that way. Maybe a Cooley, but even then at 32 we will be asking him to take seat or go someplace else I am sure..its the nature of the game
Taylor 36
There will never be another D. Green for sure. A guy who is one of the best at his position all time that sticks with a franchise his entire career. Even Ray Lewis will probably be leaving Baltimore. If a player stays his entire career with one team in today's NFL, he is not top notch at his position.
