TE#80
After The release of Washington, and Daniels contract becoming void. As well as the restructuring of contracts of Carter and Randel El, Where does that leave the skins in overall cap space? Just think, if we clear up enough space, we can throw 15 mil a year at Deangelo Hall .
TheGoodBits
The Redskins are now $150 million below the salary cap, so we're free to go after EVERY SINGLE PLAYER that someone on ES starts a thread about.
Snagletooth
Haven't tried to dig up the numbers yet. But I'm estimating about $2 to $3 million under right now?
SkinsMaster88
Don't know the exact numbers of where we currently stand, but we can save an additional $18.1M by letting go of Springs (6M), Taylor(8.5M), and Griffin(3.6M). With so many guys getting franchised or getting deals with their current team, I don't know how the actual FA class is going to look.

Sawyer5500
Yeah keep Griffin, cut Springs and Taylor. Trade back in the draft, acquire some picks and start building this team right.

"building this team right"??? Not all great teams are built through just the draft. Both is good, just have to get "lucky" and not BUST on any players regardless of which route you get them. Yeah keep Griff one more year.
Kurd Cudins
This number is in no way official, but by using the numbers from this site http://www.thewarpath.net/WarpathRedskinsCap.htm my calculation is we are about $9.225M under the cap. Capt Rich Fla
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! That's it! They are going to use Taylor for draft pick bait to get a second rounder and a third and they'll buy up his contract. Wait, that would make too much sense.

Justsomeguy
Possible suitors:San fran, Buffalo, Houston, Chicago, New England, Cleveland, Cincy, maybe even Denver for the right setup anything is possible.

Pioli was in the AFC East so he knows his capability, the team as a whole had 10 sacks last year, and they are the youngest in the NFL so they obviously need a veteran presence. Huh? 5 of those run a 4-3 which would make Taylor's value less than a 4th round pick if you ask me. Why would anyone give up a 2nd round pick after seeing what he did this year in a 4-3? I'm glad none of ES runs the Skins.

To be fair though, they played him out of position and he had a pretty rough year of it injury-wise.
Water Boy
I agree with Springs and Taylor, but I don't know about Griffin. I think we need to keep him for one more season. I think they should let all 3 go if the Skins can resign Monty 24 and sign Haynesworth 27. You would have two 300+ pounds in the middle. They must sign Hall to replace Springs. And it would be nice to sign a guy like Villma to replace Washington. The skins will then have replaced 3 guys in there 32+ for 3 guys under the age of 30. kvarlo12000
Vilma has a contract with the saints already gaurantee it. The conditional pick they traded for last year was if he resigned before or after the start of free agency.

They need to cut Springs if they want to sign Hall because of the money needed to get it done. I think the only reason we are still holding onto him right now is because Blanche is enormored with him. Springs has been injured the last couple of years and has never been willing to restructure his contract for us. I don't think we will have the money to sign both Hall and Haynesworth. I really hope we cut Taylor as his savings would allow us to sign a guy like Jovan Haye from the Bucs and Stacy Andrews from the Bengals.
GoSkins561
Restructure Taylor and get rid of Springs. I don't think we got a good feel for Taylor last year with the injuries and all.
