TheREALJBird
I like pancakes, and I'm used to saying ape-ricot, although I've heard it pronounced the other way too
GoSkins8921
Lol, now that's country. My grandma always said "worsh." Do you also say "commode" instead of toilet? Nah I say toilet... But yea a lot of my accent is country... Some other things people point out a lot are that I say different as "differnt", a hundred as "a hunnerd", ten as "tee in(I guess that's the best way to type it lol)". That's all I can think of right now.

I say reckon a lot. I never say yonder. I pronounce it the way it's spelled. Apples aren't APEles, you know? Pancakes are best served on a bunny's head. Make it happen. Apple has two P's making it "app".

Hubbs
What a bump. Anyway, anyone who says ape-ricot should be dragged into the street and shot, in my hyperbole-free opinion.
HailGreen28
What a bump.Anyway, anyone who says ape-ricot should be dragged into the street and shot, in my hyperbole-free opinion. (Bold and Itals mine) Is the correct pronunciation "hi-per-bull-EE", or "hi-per-bull-UH"? *ducks* :evilg:
stupidmorals
(Bold and Itals mine) Is the correct pronunciation "hi-per-bull-EE", or "hi-per-bull-UH"? *ducks* :evilg: Uh, hyperbole =/= hyperbola. Different words entirely. And only one correct pronunciation each.

HogNose
Do you pronounce it "ape" ri-cot or "app" ri-cot? It's always been "ape" ri-cot to me. I assume when people say it the other way that they are wrong. :whoknows:
Botched
The same way I pronounce the words "pecan", "nuclear" and "Reese's". Correctly.

GhostofSparta
I say ape.But then, I also pronounce this word "measure" as MAY-zhur; not meh-zhur. I'm such a freak. Ugh. Moving up to Pittsburgh has almost killed me hearing "May-zure" and "Spay-shal" (for Special). But the funniest thing is that my grandparents were born and raised in Morgantown and I never even realized they said it like that until after moving up here and hearing it from them afterward. Oh, and it's "app"ricot.
