localskinsfan
According to Coach Zorn's news conference earlier today, Griffin is the most injured of our guys, and the coach would like to hold him out. However, Griffin really wants to be in the game, on the line of scrimmage, with his teammates, so Coach Zorn said he may not be able to keep him out. That's a REAL football player! I hope his shoulder heals up, especially with a bye week coming up to rest in a couple of weeks. Here's a link if you want to hear it for yourself. http://www.redskins.com/gen/index.jsp
terpfan
Griffin may get injured a lot, but you cant say he isnt one tough SOB. Is he more injured than Springs? Or just of the guys who played against Cleveland?

Genghis Khan
They should just sit him for the lions games so that he can be ready for the Steelers.
PCS
Griff is a very large man yet humble and soft spoken. However, I'm not so certain that if I was coach I'd be all that excited to go face to chest with him and say,"You're not playing." :paranoid:

Capt Rich Fla
I wondered myself if Coach was trying to make a point to some of the other guys who claim injury... Yup, I think it was a dig myself. Springs will claim injury if he has a bad hair day. I like Springs. He's one of the best corners out there. Ijust hate how much he's hurt. Let's see what the DL is like without him while were at it.

Shilsu
Springs needs to take some tough man lessons from Smoot and Griff. I think Springs learned a valuable lesson when the Redskins told him they were either going to cut his pay or cut him.
pjfootballer
I think Springs learned a valuable lesson when the Redskins told him they were either going to cut his pay or cut him. What lesson? He called their bluff, makes $7 million a year and still misses games.
TSO
Our team is exhausted and it's getting a little worrisome. I think it's safe to say most of us were pleased to hear how late our bye was when we first got a hold of the schedule. Now, I'm really wondering about the whole "late bye" thing... I really wish we had our bye even last week! We've played so many tough games, against good physical teams. Even when our so-called "soft" part of the schedule came up, we ran into those "soft" teams playing at their best all season. Unbelievable. I don't think there's a team as battle tested as us in the league right now. Now watch, the Seahawks will be all healed up when we play them; the Bengals will have won a few games; and the 49ers suddenly become an unstoppable from here on out now that Mike Singletary is coaching them. OLS Hope to God this isn't the case... our schedule has really been ridiculous the past few years. Sheesh.
Shilsu
What lesson? He called their bluff, makes $7 million a year and still misses games. Yeah... So he probably feels slighted and doesn't feel a need to sacrifice himself for the team. For better or for worse.
cubanl81
Not that I'm taking the Lions lightly. But IMHO I think we need to sit Griffin, Springs & Taylor. We will really need them if we want a chance to beat the Steelers.
36HAMMER
it's onfortunate, thew man was a terror his first year, and the injury problem has slowed him the last 2 years. i do appreciate his' playing while hurt, not easy to do in the trenches, not at all. he's a mans man thanks griff, thanks for the heart. mcarey032
He may be injured but he doesn't miss all that often. He really tries to soldier through the pain and he deserves a lot of credit for that.
