Unbelievable.As for the substance of the interview itself, it was over in the first 30 seconds when Frank told him he'd only been in oversight since Jan 31 of 2007. :owned: No wonder OReilly blew up. Frank made him look like a Grade A Ignoramous in front of his audience in 30 seconds flat. :dunce: So are you saying that Franks had nothing to do with this disaster?? Let's all remember that it's the republican party that's the party of deregulation. O'Reilly can ***** and whine all he wants, but the fact of the matter is, even George Bush said a few weeks ago that America's economy is sound. McCain said the same thing. Enzo Posted October 4, 2008 Share Posted October 4, 2008 What no one will say is that fact that the samething that that caused the 1929 financial crisis, the 1987 financial crisis, & the current financial crisis is the right wing belief in "Trickle Down Economics". Now here is one thing that every American can do to help the economy. Stop buying products "Made in China" or any other 3rd world country. If Americans will stop purchasing stuff from companies that send American jobs over seas then these companies will have no choose but to bring the jobs back to America or go broke. Any company that closed up shop here to open up factories in China are companies that are lead by traitors. BTW, that is COMMUNIST CHINA for the ones of you that don't know. I guess you will still hold firm in your support of Bush even though history will show that he is the worst president this country has ever had. Bill o'reilly is just the worst of the followers. He has been shown up time and time again for being completely wrong and an enormous amount of issues. And yea love soccer, sorry FOOTBALL, because it is a fantastic sport and joins countries and cultures across the world. And Obama said the fundamentals of the economy were sound last week at a Cleveland fundraiser just a week after making fun of McCain for saying it. If you don't think the Democrats have any role in this mess, I don't know what to tell you. Can you name any deregulation that was passed by the Bush administration in this arena? Do you know the major pieces of deregulation that caused this problem were done in the early 90s and 1999 under the Clinton administration? Christopher Dodd, Barney Frank, and other Democrats have been defending the practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac for years even when Bush and the Republicans were calling for MORE regulation. He's usually smarter than that. You left out the rest of the qoute where Franks said that going forward(fannie and freddie) the prospects are very solid. When even then he and others in the dem party knew that they were pushing bad paper which led to this disaster!! In fact they were pushing bad paper in order to get housing to those who didn't or shouldn't have a house. And that is Franks and others in the dem partys fault.
