shakinaiken
simple question: who do you want starting next week vs philly? Jansen looked pretty decent vs a very good defensive line today, though i cant help but feel comfortable with heyer...
Oldskool
I'd rather have Jansen there. Jim Johnson has exotic blitz packages that Heyer has never seen and with his bad wing, He'll target him specifically. Jansen has seen everything that Johnson can throw more than a few times. TheDoyler23
Jansen. Hive Heyer a chance to get back to 100% and also, give Jansen a second opportunity to prove that The Dallas game wasn't an aberration. JJ can still play.
shakinaiken
i will say that the run game seemed to improve while Jansen was in there... and some of those runs were to the right side.. jansen gets points there
Soup
I like jansen because of the experience he brings. I think he should stay as starter but the coaches are seeing something we are not so, Jansen will probably sit.
Thinking Skins
I'll trust whoever the coaches choose to put in there. Looking at how the Eagles got after the Bears last night, I'm more afraid of jansen's pass blocking than Heyer's run blocking. But I think Jansen has done a good job of redeeming himself as somebody we can count on on this OL.
Zen-like Todd
Jansen is a better run blocker, but I'd rather have Heyer's pass protection against the Eagles, assuming he's healthy.
StartColtNow
Heyer, Jansen's pass blocking sucks, he was getting beat routinely by his man and was pushed 5 yards back on most passing downs.
ArmchairRedskin
Why would you rather have Heyer in there when JJ just proved himself against one of the pass rushing teams in the leage? Plus he has our running game going to the right again. Unless the coaches know something I don't, it's a no-brainer to put Jansen back in.
MartinC
If he is healthy Heyer. Both he and Jansen are pretty close right now, Heyer is a bit better at pass protection wjile Jansen is better as a run blocker IMO. However Heyer is the future and will only get better by playing. dfitzo53
I would actually lean towards Jansen. If we want any hope of establishing the run against a very stingy Philly rush defense we need all the help we can get.
dswerdlw
Why not establish the run with Jansen? Put Heyer in only if we fall behind considerably and have to give up on the run. I don't this will happen, but it's a fall back plan.
jamestrash
i will say that the run game seemed to improve while Jansen was in there... and some of those runs were to the right side.. jansen gets points there exactly. I say Jansen. He got bulled in the pass rush, but I'd rather risk a sack than have the field cut in half on running plays.
GhostRider
Before yesterday Heyer 100%. Today I dunno, Jansen seemed back to his old self yesterday.
jnhay
Heyer, Jansen's pass blocking sucks, he was getting beat routinely by his man and was pushed 5 yards back on most passing downs. When was that?
G-Prime
Everyone noticed which side of the line Portis had more success running.. Yep, the right side, Jansen played lights out yesterday and looks like he's trying to earn his job back.. If he's going to keep playing like that, leave him as the starter
Chanhillbilly
Heyer, Jansen's pass blocking sucks, he was getting beat routinely by his man and was pushed 5 yards back on most passing downs. You could say that about the whole line. Samuels was used and abused the whole game with help from the RB. Jansen did fine and did what he was supposed to do. He came in and played, and played well. Be glad that we have depth on the line.
gaskinsfan
Jansen played a great game yesterday, and we were able to consistently run to the right, something we have not been able to do all year. Jansen needs to go again this week, and then evaluate after the game going forward.
kingfish50
I think experience trumps youth against Philthy but I'm comfortable with either one of them starting.
HateYanksDukeCowboys
who knows, jansen may look even better after getting his "game legs" underneath him this week. i still think he lost his starting job due to lingering injury issues. a healthy jansen is still the best RT we have on this team.
