Sounds like a worthy life's calling I called the league for a request for a policy as is my job I alleged nothing ; I just wanted info Cerrato is lying and missrepresenting what was a sinple, weekly conversation between me and the league You can never lose a draft pick for this sort of statement Only a team can charge someone with tampering, not a media member He is a making a mockery of fact and reality and trying to play people for fools I request policies on rule changes, code of conduct, suspensions, statement about officials, etc. This was no different. Its pathetic attempt to slander me, but not surprising in the least given who it is coming from. Because - forget anything else that's gone on - that reply alone shows his negative feelings are so strong that he can't possibly cover the Redskins as a reporter. The fact that it even came up in conversation with the league means JLC believed it was likely tampering. At the very least, JLC showed an embarrassing lack of understanding of the rules. Sure you were a little harsh, but as a reporter he should have a thicker skin and instead he insulted you, a reader of the paper he works for! Seriously, send that to his edtor and say you will be posting his snide remarks about you and the Redkskins all over the inetrnet and sending a copy to the Redskins organization and if you do not recieve an apology IN THE POST you will be cancelling your subscription and recomending to all friends and family that they do they same. The questions were not routine or general statements about what he can and can't ask; JLC claimed that Vinny was talking specifics about the Raiders coaching position which he absolutely wasn't. Where JLC has gone wrong is instead of reporting facts, he is trying to paint the picture where all the Skins FO does is wrong and he is a champion of the right. Vinny may be wrong at times but he's not a comic book villain who is trying to fool the entire world and to make it seem that Vinny is the devil in human form is ridiculous. He claims that Vinny leaked stories to the press on Gregg Williams yet GW said he would love to eventually come back to D.C. and had nothing bad to say about the organization. He "stood up" for Byner when he got released yet criticized the FO for not letting Zorn bring in his guys. Zorn needed Stump and Sherm to help implement to offense so why is that such a horrible thing to do?? Come on Jason....step up your game.... This is the first time I can recall that an individual/organization has declared war on a news outlet and won. If for this reason alone, Cerrato earns a lot of respect from me.
