tr1
If GW couldn't get along with DS, imagine the problems in pukeville. The movie title would be, "When Egos Collide - The Sequel"
DR.LOOMIS
If GW does go to the Cowboys, I will lose ALL respect for him. Any long time Redskin, who switches to become a Cowboy, is nothing more than mercenary. Joe Gibbs would never even entertain such an idea, no matter how big the paycheck. DWinzit
It sounds like a crazy rumor to me. Dallas plays a base 3-4.
skinfan2k
Why would he care about the redskins now? He wants a job and the cowboys are offering him one? Its simply another job in the NFL. If i were a coach, i would want to coach anywhere i can.
pR0JEkT 21
That would be awful news if it happens Wouldn't blame him he's probably pissed, plus its all business, thats what Dan gets for being a retard, but he feels stupid! I did here the Jaguars thing, but not Dallas by the way!

Well, it was Schefter reporting it ... But he did mention exactly what you say above. He said he didn't think it would be agreat fit cuz GW like to run a 4-3. OxonHillSkinsFan89
yeah i just saw that. I think with Blache being our DC the system would be too familiar for Jones to hire Williams. Fodder news to me.

NewCliche21
"Long time Redskin"? In your opinion, Williams was a long time Redskin? When you're an assistant to Joe Gibbs and you go to the Cowboys, you're dead to me.
redman
Not going to happen. Wade Phillips is a defensive oriented guy, and he's the head coach. Dom Capers is a former head coach and coordinator and he's now the LB's coach. Dave Campo is a former coordinator and head coach and he's the DB's coach. There's waaaaaaaaaaay too many cooks in that kitchen as it is, and as others have correctly pointed out that defensive philosophy there is from an entirely different school from Williams'. If anything, this interview was Jones' way of getting some insight into what's going on with the Redskins.
Skins2010
WILLIAMS TO COWBOYS? Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Cowboys could be hiring former Redskins defensive coordinator to run the defense. Per Schefter, discussions already have occurred, and will continue on Monday. Since the Cowboys already have a defensive coordinator, Williams would likely have a position similar to his title in Washington, where he served as assistant head coach-defense. The other curiosity about Williams' candidacy is that the Cowboys currently run a 3-4 defense. Williams used a 4-3 approach in D.C. Williams, who was interviewed more times than Chad Johnson on radio row for the head-coaching job in Washington, was ultimately fired. Williams has interviewed with the Jaguars for the defensive coordinator vacancy created by the departure of Mike Smith, the new head coach in Atlanta. [[ghost]]
If he did, I'd be heartbroken, and a bit confused. He runs a very erratic 4-3 and 46, not at all a 3-4.

Why would you loose all respect for him? He was not given a fair shake for the HC job in Washington. It's a business and he needs to do what's best for him and his family.
