Zhouse
On his interview with the NFL network crew, Chad Johnson says: "We are all in the same state of mind. We are all looking for a job right now" and looks over to Mooch. You can see Mooch feeling uncomfortable so he quickly turns the question back to Chad. Check out the video. http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d8065c58b What if we bring Chad and Mooch to Washington?
SMOSS89
Thats pretty funny. Imagine if they get an interview with Clinton Portis or somethin, thatd be hilarious.
stwasm
Why do people want that @$$-clown here? As soon as things go south or he's not getting the ball enough, he'll start whining and poisoning the locker room. Plus, I'd rather see us use our draft picks on hungry college players without egos instead of someone who'd be coming here to get his paycheck and complain at the first sign of trouble! SkinsFanatic17
yeah i would like to see that peace because he was dodging bullets by brett farve last night on the NFL Network as well. I think most people have a lot of respect for Steve Mariucci and would love to see him get back in to football. What would be a better job than the best Job in sports, the Washington Redskins

herrmag
Dude can't run block for doo doo. O-ver-rate-ed! Are you serious? You're going to worry about one of the top 10 WR's in the league's run blocking ability? Get him Danny...If the price is right, that is. JC needs a WR that can make those acrobatic, one-armed, jump ball type catches. He's not the most accurate QB on the planet.
DeMarco Murray 29
Heard on the Dallas radio today with Galloway, the rumor has it a deal with Chad Johnson for Roy Williams and a couple of picks is a possibility. We all know how likely trades are, but man.
Hiro
Steve Mariucci in the burgundy and gold would be huge I think. Alot of people give him a bad rap for how he did in Detroit, but honestly, has ANYONE done well down there since Matt Millen has become the GM? I know alot of people like to rip on Dan and Vinny for how they run our FO, but they're 10x better then the crapheap that Millen has created there. Keep something in mind folks. When Mariucci was there, Millen drafted THREE WRs and one RB in the first round in a row! Nothing on defense, nothing on the offensive line, all specialists that produced ONE solid contributer. He had nothing to work with at all, and got scapegoated.

Boy2Der
Steve Maiucci would be a good fit our defense is talented if we can just field a good offense will be ok.
Santana_Fan
Because winning changes players' attitude. See TO press conference after the Giants Game. Exactly. Look where he's playing at too. I don't see how people can keep calling Chad a cancer to his team, when there's players on the Bengals in a far worse position than him. If he's surrounded by our players, he'll be in a more positive environment. CHAD WANTS TO WIN! I've seen some of the same people knock T.O. the entire 06' season, just waiting for him to destroy the Cowboys, and then praise him for helping the Cowboys THIS year. Grimm
I really don't understand why people want Chad Johnson, if this was a Bengals board the guy would be getting torn apart the way he is shopping himself around. He's got no class, he's a "me first" player and his act is getting tired very fast.
SkinsFanatic17
Im not worried about Chad Johnson right now i just want us to hire Steve Mariucci. I think he's a great fit and they might have had this planned the whole time. I mean he has worked with everyone that we've hired to the staff already and he seems to be hiding something when hes on the air on NFL Network. Everyone that he has talked to hes tried to dodge the question.
Santana_Fan
Dude can't run block for doo doo. O-ver-rate-ed! Call him overrated, when he STOPS beating double and triple coverages repeatedly. I guess Cooley is overrated too, because he can't block. And we ALL know that's a lie.

He is an excellent wide receiver of course, but gives piss-poor effort when it comes to blocking for teammates. Is it worth it for the huge cap hit, huge headache, not to mention the draft picks we'd give up to get him? Is there a personality in our locker room who could contain his? To answer my own previous questions: No way.

MikeB
Because winning changes players' attitude. You are assuming he would be winning here. First year coaching regime, new systems, I don't think that would be the case. In fact, he would make it real hard on a new coach who is trying to get the team to gel. If we get to the point where we are winning games and need that next piece, then I'd be OK with it. Not now though.

CBass1724
The only trouble he causes in Cincy is when he dances in the endzone and uses props. That is head and shoulders above being arrested constantly like 15 of his teammates. He stays out of trouble off the field and has a lot of fun on it. What is so bad about that? Is it worth it for the huge cap hit, huge headache, not to mention the draft picks we'd give up to get him?Is there a personality in our locker room who could contain his? To answer my own previous questions: No way. Name 5 Great WRs right now who can run block well. He is FAR from over rated. Randy Moss, TO, Reggie Wayne- all were integral parts of the top three teams during the regular season- all of them are in the same class of Johnson. He would be more than worth it. If nothing else, his dominance will lead to defenses having to give less attention to Moss, Randel El, Cooley, Portis (maybe even Lloyd?). Look at Crayton and Welker, both had career years playing behind their stud WRs. Witten and Watson also played huge roles this season. Obviously, the addition of Johnson will be void if our line doesn't play well, but IF we get him, we could use our first rounder for a pass rusher (DE or OLB) and the rest of our picks for depth.
