illone
Who's watching the "big" game tonight? Certainly not the best BCS matchup in recent history, but there are a few players of interest that could be Redskins in April. OSU: Vernon Gholston, DE Malcolm Jenkins, CB Ben Person, OG Kirk Barton, OT James Laurenitis, LB LSU: Early Doucet, WR Ali Highsmith, LB Tyson Jackson, DE Chevis Jackson, CB Carnell Stewart, RT I didn't list Dorsey because I think he's a top 5 pick and I don't see the Skins trading up. Either way, if you're watching tonight certainly a few players to keep an eye on for the upcoming draft. I'd love for Gholston to fall to us (unlikely) and Ali Highsmith would be a great pickup if he's around in the 2nd round. Chevis or Tyson Jackson would be great guys to look at on the 2nd day. I wouldn't be disappointed with the Guard or RT listed above either. I know the Skins FO plays close attention to these bowl games for draft picks as evidenced by the previous 1st and 2nd round picks we've used on talent from BCS contenders. Landry, Campbell, McIntosh, Rogers, and even Taylor have all come from BCS programs which did well in their respective bowls before being drafted. Considering we have a 1st and 2nd rounder at our disposal this upcoming draft don't be shocked if one of the above players names is called out for the Redskins in 2008. BALLz
Craig Steltz SS out of LSU could be put on there. He should be around in the 3rd.
drowland
WR Brian Robiskie could be a guy to keep an eye on if he declares this year.

illone
Thanks for that concise list. Gives me a reason to watch this affair. I had to find a reason as well. A few interesting matchups for tonight: How will OSU match up against a healthy Glenn Dorsey, and who will win Early Doucet or Jenkins.
2006Skins
It will be interesting to see how Gholston does against a physical SEC team
dfbovey
Chris Wells will be a good pro down the road. He's only a sophmore though I think.
The Enforcer
I have seen some insiders pick the Skins taken Calais Campbell the defensive end from the U with their first pick. Of course these are early mock draft picks but still a strong end would be good to rush the passer.
Siven
It will be interesting to see how Gholston does against a physical SEC team so far he's been straight up mauling his man with his bull rush.
ddd723
I think we should take Gholston but I don't know if he will be around for our pick. No thanks to the LSU safety he got burnt on the Wells run coming at him at a bad angle.

2006Skins
He won't be around. He's a top ten pick. Unless we trade up to get him. I love it when people say 'He won't be around by _____ pick' It's January. We have no clue when anyone will be around. His stock could drop or shoot up... But to say he won't be around is a bit premature.

It's not premature to assume Gholston will be gone well before we draft. Every mock I've seen has him as a top 10 pick. If he drops, it won't be by much, and not down to #21. Gholston is in incredible shape, has a non stop motor, and has dominated everyone he's been matched up against this year including Jake Long of MI. Frankly, I'd be surprised if he makes it out of the top 10.

JWB
Gholston is a monster. Unfortunately there is no way he is not top ten. No one else is really spectacular in this game.
illone
Dorsey is dominating this game. I expected the speed of OSU to overcome LSU's power just like WVU did against OU, but so far that hasn't been the case. Better athletes at WVU:laugh:

I personally would prefer Gholston but we're not drafting a DE anyways. Its un-Washington like. Gholston looks solid to me. I like that he can be an OLB on passing downs (I think) which would be useful if Washington leaves, because than he could be our 3rd Down Specialist while Blades can check in at his spot. Spanky731
either early Ducet is really strong or that was some of the worst tackling i've ever seen. Keep an eye on him. If he falls to second i could see us snaggin him up.
