mcarey032
Just went to washingtonpost.com and found that it was the cover story of the redskins section. The Post said in the story that McIntosh will be gone for 9 months to a year! Obviously that not only hurts the team, but it also hurts his development because he was coming along really well. Here is the link: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/17/AR2007121701817.html?sub=AR
Merlin Emrys
Unreal. Can this team have any more season ending injuries in one season? (Knock on wood).
GaryGreenMonk
it's actually unlikely that Carlos or Rocky will play much in the 08' season too.
skinsfan07
Damn this sucks. A freaking year. Insane, We've easily had the most injuries out of any team this season.

carter23
not only that, but the article said players who suffer that injury usually don't get their explosiveness back until 18 mo.
terpfan
Usually when you have a bad year you can always look to next year when the slate will be wiped clean. But thats not even true for us. Carlos and Rocky probably wont even be back next year. And Sean is never coming back. Playoffs or not, this is the season from hell.
GaryGreenMonk
not only that, but the article said players who suffer that injury usually don't get their explosiveness back until 18 mo. it'll take Rocky and Carlos the full amount of healing time because of the positions they play which require full speed explosivness and cutting fast in both directions. And the muscles themselves will have to be rebuilt after the ACL/MCL has healed.
SUSkinsFan
Although didn't Palmer have a similar injury when he tore some ligaments in the playoffs and he made it back for the start of the next season so shouldn't Rocky and Carlos be fine? QB is a different position... doesn't require 100% full speed and full speed cutting in both directions. A LB and CB will need the full duration of healing time. Yep, that sums it up just about perfectly. Horrible season, all the way around.

Yeah he made it back, but he really wasn't and still isn't the same player that he once was before the injury. Although his worry is more footwork in the pocket and worrying about players diving at his legs when he throws the ball. I just hope that McIntosh and Rogers can get back to where they were this year.

Yeah but Palmer like most players w/ this injury was not the same until his second year back. We have to go in to next year not expecting anything from Carlos or Rocky, that way whatever we get will be a bonus. They will be playing at probably about 80% next year and then as fully healed as they will get in 09'. This season can't get any worse. 3 good young players that we lost that will have an impact on next year too. Every team has injuries but this year has been about as bad as I ever remember for one team. At least our team has shown great heart and continue to fight and win games. With an almost full draft including all of our 1st day picks we need some quality young players. I wouldn't mind even trading down and getting more 1st day picks. We need to get depth and good solid players. We will probably be able to sign 1 big FA. Let's hope no more injuries this year. Hopefully this will even out somewhat( except for losing Taylor which nothing can make up for) and we will have few injuries next year. In the long run this will make us a better team, knowing we can survive injuries and still win. Let's beat those Vikings!! HTTR!!!

AceSkinsFan
What makes this even worse is that Rocky was really starting to come into his own this year. To me this is a huge loss, but it'll also be a chance for HB Blades to get some more playing time. I still think we're in good shape, but here's hoping Rocky has a speedy recovery! GaryGreenMonk
agreed. It's also the position though.. you can be 80% healthy and have a brace on and play QB. You can't have a 70 or 80% healthy knee and play corner or LB. gotta be 100%.. especially at corner.
BuddyLeeGhostHunter
the only positive is that we get to see what the back-ups can really doI can't wait to see H.B. Blades again. The man has been a mirror image of London Fletcher, a tackling machine.
Sekhmet728
This sucks. He's such a promising LB. I hope his recovery is a lot speedier than predicted. Now all I can say is thank God we still have H.B. Blades.

Yea but unfortunately Blades has always been a mlb and doesnt fit the olb mold as well as he does ILB. its going to be a big adjustment to move outside and even more to move back inside later.
