What makes you cringe or uncomfortable when you see it in a movie?

For me, it's anything with the teeth. Some parts in "Hostel" totally had me cringing and the worst was "American History X".

Because I ask myself "Self, can anybody actually be that stupid?"

Every time I watch Sandra Bullock or Nicholas Cage try to act, especially if they talk in a southern accent.

I think they are very good actors.

Cage was awesome in Face/off and adaptation (which is a great movie)

As for what I can't watch, I agree with the whole "Lie that gets worse" aka "Stiller movies" notion.

As far as what makes me cringe, I'd say it's anything gross involving the sense of taste, like when Hanibal Lecter ate that dude's brains in Hanibal. Or when Stiffler ate crap in American Pie II.

It takes quite a bit to make me cringe. Any movie that has a detailed rape scene is tasteless IMO. "Kiss the Girls" was horrible and there was another old movie with Jodie Foster that I saw at a young age. That was very disturbing.

The Mongols used to pour molten siver in your ears and eyes if you were a defiant enemy. Talk about disturbing. That wasn't a movie.
