Which decision was worse: Archuleta or Lloyd

Two bombs, one decision. Who do you think?

My vote goes for Lloyd, but a case can be made for each.

Lloyd: Acquired for a 3rd AND 4th round pick. Signed to a large extension that has not seen any returns. Still hasn't caught a TD pass in a regular season game for us. Does not have any real value attracting other teams to acquire him and so he remains on the team eating up salary cap space, roster space, and is probably a detriment to the team in the locker room.

Archuleta: Acquired as a FA. Signed to the richest contract a safety has ever signed in the history of the NFL. The wrong fit for this defensive scheme, he was reduced to a special teams role after just a handful of games. The fact that he didn't pan out here forced us into drafting LaRon Landry. Don't get me wrong, I love the pick and am incredibly happy he is here, but if Archuleta was what we hoped he would be, we'd probably have a defensive linemen in development here or could have traded back and picked up more draft picks.

However, after his one year here, he restructured his contract and was traded to the Bears. We received a 6th round pick for him and his salary cap hit will be off our roster after this year.

Both are busts here, but at least we got something for Archuleta and his huge cap number won't be around for long. Lloyd seems to have long term effects. He's not seeing the field, will probably be cut and will be on the salary cap for several years. Your thoughts?

Lloyd, because he's still here.

Lloyd, I lost all confidence in general management when he was signed, I don't know how they could have been so blind as not to have seen his weaknesses, I live in SF and watched him with the 49ers and always saw that he was an erratic underachiever, hated going over the middle, did not block, ran lousy routes, dropped easy passes. They seemed to be blinded by the highlight reel showing a few spectacular catches, anyone who watched him consistently knew he was hit or miss for any given game

At first glance I say AA. But after looking into everything and what we gave up for Lloyd, I definitely have to go with Lloyd.

Even though AA made it close with that "anonymous" paper that a writer released with him as the source

Lloyd is more of a threat than Thrash, and he still doesn't get any play time. Why the hell did we trade away 2 picks and all that cash to sit a guy?? Makes even less sense than Gibbs game plans.

Also I would like to add that we do not see everthing. There have been many sources saying that Lloyd is a locker room virus. We do not see this. And character is important to JG and staff.

are u guys serious? arch was horriable and honestly i dont think llyod is bad he just never gets playin time or never has a chance to prove himself worthy

Yeah, Lloyd's awesome. That's why teams will be lining up to trade for him after the season's over. We'll probably get a couple first rounders for him. We'll pretty much be able to name our price.
