TheGift
Charlotte Observer October 31, 2007 Smith has message for rookie Very interesting incident just happened in the locker room. Two reporters were talking with rookie receiver Dwayne Jarrett about his frustration at barely getting to play after being a second-round pick. As Jarrett was talking, receiver Steve Smith, who hasn’t been talking to the media recently, walked out to his own locker and talked to Jarrett. “Instead of talking to the media, why don’t you go watch some film?’’ Smith said. Jarrett gave a slight smile and kept talking to the media. Smith, followed up in a very strong tone. “Seriously,’’ Smith said. Jarrett did keep talking and we’ll have a full story on his rough rookie season in tomorrow’s paper. – PAT YASINSKAS Or he will follow Mike Williams...BTW...Jarrett has been Inactive all season LOL... TheGift
...and you don't wanna buck with Steve Smith word to Anthony Bright LOL. During the 2002 season, in a team video session, Smith's teammate Anthony Bright asked the coaches to re-wind a play in which Smith was jarred and Smith took this as a slight on his play. Smith punched Bright in the face, breaking his nose. The Panthers suspended Smith for the offense

Dan T.
So Steve Smith showed up Jarrett in front of the press. Does he have the force of personality to also show Jarrett what he's doing wrong in preparation, to mentor him on the right track? It's one thing to belittle a teammate, deserved or not. It's a better teammate that will show him the right way.

pjfootballer
Hmmm. 3 catches 18 yards. I think Smith should heed his own words. He didn't do squat the last couple of weeks. He should just STFU and worry about himself.

jrockster21
Not sure what you guys are talking about - Smith is on pace for another great season; 85 catches, 1175 yards and 14 TDs. We'd be wetting ourselves if Santana Moss was anywhere CLOSE to that pace.
kuraitengai
even if he did only catch 3 balls for 18 yards, thats 3 balls and 18 yards more than jarrett had that game....or any game for that matter.

Ghost of
I want to point out that Edwards is now one of the top receivers in the league and we could desperately use him so PLEASE put that "MIchigan WR" nonsense to bed. USC on the other hand...(Especially big, tall USC wideouts.)
