elkabong82
Kind of hard to keep 2 hands on the ball when you are throwing it. The fumbles came from JC when he was hit trying to throw the ball. The real issue is a combination of poor protection and JC not sensing the pressure properly. Due to the injuries on the O-line, JC is now having to make quick decisions and quick releases. Unfortunately, he isn't at that level just yet. He will be, but a lot more is being required of him now because of the injuries. More than the coaches anticipated. Oldfan
Agreed. Shouldn't the blockers who missed the assignment yell "look out" or something? :2cents: Not enough time for that -- by the time they get the sod out of their mouths...

bulldog
Campbell is the reason the Redskins lost 52-7, just as Troy Aikman was the reason the Cowboys started 1989 0-11   Right now this offense has NO feature back, NO feature receivers and a collection of linemen who may be on the field but can barely walk off it at the final gun. And Campbell is the problem? Sidenote: Mike Vrabel is not an average linebacker. He has made key plays for the Patriots in getting them to the Super Bowl in 2001 and 2003, including the postseason. Lombardi's_kid_brother
Jon Kitna has been sacked 28 times and has fumbled 8 times. Last year, he was sacked 63 times and fumbled 11 times. Joey Harrington has been sacked 23 times and has not fumbled. Marc Bulger has broken ribs and has been sacked 18 times with 3 fumbles. Donvan McNabb has been sacked 23 times and has fumlbed 4 times. Getting sacked does not mean that you are going to fumble. Campbell's 3:2 ratio is completely out of whack.

rdsknbill
I love the kid. It seemed that the pressure came from the right side all day. That is what was the problem. No O-line, no protection. period

Lombardi's_kid_brother
damn numbers! In just glancing at the numbers, it looks like a 4:1 ratio is in the "tolerable" zone. What's interesting is that Jason's fumbles had not hurt the Skins until yesterday. Recovering fumbles is completely random so the team was lucky in that they only lost 1 of the previous 5. Redzone Offense
what good would that be if they are injured. O lineman would be great to have considering ours are INJURED. Do you really think that opposing defenses would be getting anywhere near as much pressure on JC as they are now if we did not lose almost half of our starting lineman? I'm sick of people blaming the O-line for our problems. That's why GOD created depth charts. Common sense says your 2-3-4th stringers may become starters during the season. Some teams prepare their teams better for this than others. We don't do that very well.

Peregrine
You put any QB in the NFL in a 3rd and long, down by a lot of points, having not even tried to get the first down on 1st and 2nd, and then NOT put him in the shotgun against a D that loves to rush the passer and is very good at it, and you will see a fumble. Then do it 20 some odd times because the coaches are clueless, and you will see multiple fumbles.

bootzilla
Mark Rypien had the same problem early on, he got it fixed and he did ok with us. Jason holds the ball real low in the pocket sometimes. that can be fixed also

Dance04
lets not forget the near fumble when he began to scramble. Can't blame that on the o-line.

Veretax
Miami played at home and their O line hasnt had ANY injury, they have the same 5 guys they started the season with, and it was their divisional game they play the patriots twice a year their built to compete with those guys. :2cents: atleast their offense didnt give away 4 turnovers resulting in 17 pts This happened to Rypien on more than a few occasions. We need to fix this problem by seasons end or Campbell may become more of a liability then an asset.
