Rod Woodson said our defense will be improved this year, because we have depth. He also said our defense was a failure last year, because we had alot of injuries and we couldnt apply pressure like we wanted. He thinks the d-line is fine, and as long as we have our cornerbacks healthy, we're good. Rod still had us at 6-10, based on Jason Campbell's play this season. Faulk thinks we'll go 8-8, but he also said that in the NFC East, there's always a toss up. No team in the NFC East has a veteran starting QB, but the Eagles. Basically, they both were saying how it depends on the other three NFC East teams' (besides the Eagles) young QB's performance, to see where it leads the teams.

They both showed us love, he said our 1-2 punch running back system is good. He said we have plenty of talent on the Offense, we just need to be able to execute. But he did say we need another threat at receiver, besides Moss and Cooley, or at least Randle El/Lloyd needs to step up this season. They also think Jason'll be fine, just as long as the line holds up.

Faulk has us at 8-8 for the season. Woodson at 5-11 again then changed it to 6-10. They didn't seem to enthused about our Skins chances this year.

Big surprise. When was the last time ANYONE has been enthused about the Skins season besides us?

most of these guys base their opinion on just what the team did the year before, and rarely look at most teams logically outside of the few of the "name" teams

Well they said everything we've been saying all through this forum. We need Lloyd to step, Campbell is our leader on offense, and both O and D lines need to play better for us to win. The real sad part came when Rod Woodson said we'll be 5-11 then changed to 6-10. Rich Eisen even said that if that were to happen everybody would be questioning the philosophy around here. Then Marshall came out and predicted an 8-8 season. Wow. No respect given to our additions. Well the only way to shut'em up is to win. :helmet:

Marshall Falk, who seems like a nice enough guy and doesn’t come across as a Redskins hater said something to the effect of; ‘they (Gibbs/Saunders) have two different philosophies… Saunders likes to run the ball and then throw down the field, while Joe Gibbs is more run the ball and then short dink and dunk pass.’

Who is he talking to? Certainly not a Redskins fan. In fact, you don’t even have to follow the Skins to know that nothing could be further from the truth. Yeah it was before Falk’s time but all he had to do was watch Super Bowl XXII (Doug Williams) and Super Bowl XXVI (Mark Rypien). Joe Gibbs is run, run, play action bombs away guy, not a dink-dunk short pass guy.

I guess Falk wanted so badly to make his point about Gibbs and Saunders being different that the only way to make the point was to make up a load of crap about the way Gibbs like to call a game.

It was on. They repeatedly said how our offense and defense didn't mesh well together last season. Marshall Faulk likes Campbell, and they both said that the offensive and defensive lines are going to be key for this team. Marshall predicted 8-8 while Woodson predicted a "bold" 5-12, 6-10 season.

I missed it last night. Do you know if/when they're going to do a re-air?

I doubt it will re-air.

In all honesty, you didn't miss much. It was only about 15 minumte segment, and included nothing we haven't already read/discussed at length here.

It was summed up quite well in the these previous posts.
