twenty-eight
I've seen the roots on a number of occasions. Last time was New Years Eve in Philly couple years ago. They rocked the house. They played a bunch of covers...I cant remember what songs...I cant even remember what year it was. The majority of the artists listed arent "underground" but I think we all get the point. I'm glad someone mentioned De La Soul. I'm always listening to Stakes is High. Alright lets see here....some names that have yet to be listed illmind- fantastic producer Grap Luva- He's Pete rock's little brother...not bad... J-live- I used to be a HUGE fan of his til he starting producing for himself and now his **** sucks....I think Oddisee might be producing his next album. K-OS - Dude is dope, you gotta download Joyful rebellion. Alright here is the song I was telling you guys about Kenn Starr, Asheru, & Talib Kweli- produced by Oddisee. http://rapidshare.com/files/11315711/10-kenn_starr_asheru_and_talib_kweli-if__prod._by_oddisee_-qmb.mp3.html

shk75
the thing about serious is he is a comedeian he made a fool out of jin and catered to the crowd and for that he deserved the win. jin is a great battler but you could tell that he was flustered after the first round. however i would take copywrite or sage francis in a battle over jin anyday of the week. in terms one guy i am surprised nobody has mentioned yet is jakki da motamouth he is sick and i love his flow....anyways good job on this thread and thanks for contributing leats keep it going. KDawg
the best rapper in the game. 1.5 million dollar man, threat and a promise,4th quarter assassin, menace II society, go get all the mixtapes!!! Get familiar He seriously rips the mic apart. I used to say that Canibus was the best lyricist of all time, word for word. I still say 'Bis is one of the most intelligent rappers of all time, but Papoose kills him lyrically. Pap can spit about anything. Get "Alphabetic Slaughter". He raps the entire alphabet A-Z staying on one letter for a good amount of time and uses no other words in between and creates a song that still makes sense. Genius.
