I hope Vitor comes to the octagon in the right frame of mind. His psyche is fragile and I can see Silva avoiding his early shots while taking away his confidence. It would be so friggin' sweet to see Belfort connect and send Spider to an early nap but I just think Silve wins the mental battle before they even step in.

Although the Griffin-Franklin fight has less than zero implications for moving up, it is a really interesting matchup. Forrest has youth and ground game while Rich has speed and stand-up defense. They both have pretty good power. This could be a 3 round battle with FOTN potential.

And then the frickin Jon Jones-Bader fight...they have really done a great job with this card.

Strikeforce Challengers tonight, 2 of the better prospects fighting tonight in Woodley (although his opponent is a good prospect himself) & Cormier:

MAIN CARD

Tarec Saffiedine vs. Tyron Woodley

Ron "Abongo" Humphrey vs. Ovince St. Preux

Devin Cole vs. Daniel Cormier

Julia Budd vs. Amanda Nunes

Rhadi Ferguson vs. John Richard

is it me, or does it seem like Ovince St. Preux fights weekly?

I don't see any way that Bader can beat Jones either. I'm hoping that if Jones does indeed win, that he gets put up against Machida or Rampage.

I'm just praying that neither of them gets injured before Feb.5th lol.

Woodley should be on the bigger cards from now on IMO.

Dangerous fight for Diaz...I don't know why he won't fight Mayhem.

May be the first time we disagree, 98. I think Nick will destroy Cyborg. However, I also think he should get the Mayhem fight over with and move on. I don't think he wants to give Jason the payday.

Because Mayhem would be a step down and isn't even in his division. Mayhem needs to win a fight or two before he earns a shot at Diaz.

A handful of good fight announcements today. Phil Davis vs. Matt Hammil at UFC 129, Mir vs. Nelson and Rampage vs. Thiago Silva at UFC 130.

good matches all around. although it makes me wonder what they're going to do with Dos Santos. he said he doesn't want to wait around for 6-8months without fighting. unless they're planning on matching him against Lesnar, there's really nobody else credible to put him against (unless Carwin is recovered from his surgery)

I thought they were really looking at Lesnar-Mir. With the Mir-Nelson news I believe they are thinking of doing Lesnar-JDS for an interim title.
