In keeping with the tone of the board recently I’m gonna pair these two powerhouses against each other in the Battle of Faith.

I’d say Muslin’s because they are willing to blow themselves up and kill for what they believe in. Christians are only willing to kill. Plus, Christians let people draw funny pictures of Jesus, God and Mary saying free speech affords them that right.

If I believed in the one eye spaghetti monster as my Lord and savior I’d be pulling a Johnny Knocksville fire hose on anyone bad-drawing him.

Christians have more "faith" in my opinion. They(we, meaning I am one of "they") believe that Jesus Christ was the living son of God. A true stretch, with absolutely no justification by science.

Muslims just believe that Mohammed was the last prophet.

Now if the question is who is more fanatical, I would say Muslims at this point the worlds existence.

There are the Extremists on either side. You have the moderate Christians, and the moderate Muslims. But you have the extremists on either side as well. The reason you won't see a Christian commit suicide, is because it's a sin. Killing is too, but that they can justify I guess. Same with the Muslims. I don't know if killing yourself is a sin, but it is supposed to be a peaceful religion, so killing others would be wrong.

Bud Light tastes like ****. Does that count as having more taste?

Technically, it either has or lacks flavor. It's unable of tasting. Taste is a verb... :paranoid:

Like when someone says "man, you smell."

No kidding I smell. I have a nose. I have a big, Mediterranean nose at that.

I'm not sure how anybody here can answer this question one way or another and with such confidence.

Muslims in a landslide

Please. You don't know squat.

Just because one religion has more or less fanatics than the other, it does NOT mean that religion is more or less faithful. Both religions have equal passion in their respective faiths but simply express it in different ways. Faith is faith. I'd imagine many Christians would take offense at the notion that their faithfulness doesn't even remotely come close to that of Muslims and vice versa.

And yes, this thread is stupid.

I found this article interesting:

http://www.religion-online.org/showarticle.asp?title=3123

Our Gospel text addresses another pastoral issue regarding faith that is still very much with us: whether the degree and depth of our faith are adequate to life’s circumstances. The concern here is voiced by Jesus’ own followers whom he sternly commands to beware of causing little ones to stumble, but also to be generous in extending forgiveness even to chronic sinners who continue to repent. For once, "the apostles," as Luke calls them, seem to have grasped the difficulty of what Jesus is teaching and plead with him: "Increase our faith!" Jesus replies rather obliquely, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you." Apparently faith isn’t about capacity; it is an orientation. Faith is beyond measurement. You’ve got it or you don’t, Jesus goes on to suggest. Having it is being like the slave who simply does what is commanded, who knows his or her place and does what needs doing.

I agree with this point in that I don't think faith is measurable, and therefore it is impossible to say whether Muslims, Jews, Christians or any religion has more "faith" than any other.

waaah waaah waah

I don't care whether you take offense to it or not, a greater % of Muslims are devout than Christians. If you don't like it cry it about it some more.

Based on your extensive experience in Muslim lands I'm sure. I know I was suprised at how much drinking, gambling, porn, etc went on in the Muslim countries I have visited. Believe me, the general population is not much more devout than the Christians are here.

What a stupid question. Whether you're joking or not, it shows you what religion is all about when you have people asking which religion has more faith.....Sad

While I support the thrust of your arguement, I cannot get onboard with the tone your post takes. Mark, you have made diarrhea out of my lemons.

And you have some proof to this, "Um, a greater percentage" claim, right? Yeah, I didn't think so. You're completely missing the point of this thread anyway if you're searching for statistics.

Liberty, you have no clue what you're talking about, but if you want to continue making idiotic posts and pretend they're legitimate, be my guest.
