wilbur58z
...according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/falcons/stories/0124falcons.html Looks like he may be looking to leave now that Saunders was brought in. Oldskool
let him go. I didnt like the taint of the WCO in our offense anyhow.

dfbovey
What do you mean? He means that if you are under contract, you can't leave a team to take the same position with another. It has to be a promotion.
spanishomelette
He can if he is given permission to do so. I don't think the Redskins would force him to stay if he wants to leave.
SkinsHokieFan
If he does go though, it is definitley good news for Matt Schuab Schuab had a lot of success under Musgrave while both were at UVA
Ghost of
Lateral move, he can't do it Well, um, since the paper even says the team has CONFIRMED it, he must actually be looking to do it. Though I'm glad he could convince Gibbs to install the shotgun, I am not what I'd call 'sad' to see this move, for a few reasons.

Yeah I should have actually looked at the link. Interesting what has gone down to let a coach make a lateral move No doubt Saunders has something to do with it, surprising though
Mattskins83
He gave us the shotgun, theres no need for him any longer
wilbur58z
With Saunders coming in he would have basically no say. He's not even a Coryell guy...he's a West Coast guy. It makes sense for him to go to a team where they actually run the West Coast. I don't think we're going to be incorporating any of that into our offense anymore with Saunders here. bubba9497
Atlanta asked for and received permission on Monday to speak to Musgrave He is under contract, so we maybe able to get compensation for him if Atlanta wants to hire him.

I'm glad he was here too, even if the shotgun was all he accomplished. What I wonder is knowing that Saunders had been on Gibbs radar for weeks, wouldn't Musgrave not be needed if he came? And maybe as soon as Saunders agreed, Musgrave was encouraged to look into other offers? Just wonderin.

I am thinking Musgrave wants to be an OC again in the near future, and with the Skins hiring Saunders the way they did, the oppurtunity to move up here, is probably not a reality anytime soon. visionary
Good luck wherever Musgrave decides to go, the QBs played a lot better this year, most of the year.
jivelikenice
I would wish him the best...he defintely played a role in improving the offense this year and I give him all credit for that. His offensive style doesn't really fit Saunders so this seems like a logical fit. Plus this way there are fewer chefs in the kitchen....
