Thiebear
They did it based on the numbers. Coach QB RB Defense Not positive but they put Skins Coach 2nd QB 5th RB 5th Defense 3 Whatever it was it equaled 15. New England was like 11 Indianapolis 15 Seattle 16 the rest 19-21ish And then said based on the numbers we beat Seattle and Play N.E. in the SB. BUT**** They also said this is not based on History this is based on right now when they wanted to qualify one anser over another and then mentioned History at LEAST 32 times during the explanations..... Which I figured a 3 year old could figure out you shouldnt do if you specifically mention its not based on that. But being a Homer I accept it because we were picked. kingfish50
yeah, They pick the Pats and Redskins to the Superbowl based on some mathematical predictions.
project myu
yeah, They pick the Pats and Redskins to the Superbowl based on some mathematical predictions. A real mathematical prediction or some BS formula that they just pulled from their buttocks?
Cskin
It would certainly be an epic coaching match between Bellicheck and Gibbs, but I don't want to face the Patirots in the Superbowl. I'd rather face Pittsburgh or Denver, two teams I think the Redskins matchup well against. Nothing would be better than beating Shanahan.... wiping that "I'm a coaching god" smirk off his face. Hail_to_Kessel
Ahh you beat me on posting this...doh! Yah, all these numbers are BS. Everyone will have a different opinion on them, but I do like their logic on picking us to go to the Super Bowl! HTTR!
JerseySkinsFan1
Although they picked us to beat Seattle and go to the S.B., you know Golic the Redskin hater will pick Seattle in his Stone Cold Lead Pipe locks tommorrow! canesluver
On another note, Tony Gonzalez of the Chiefs predicted a Skins victory on ESPN's the Hot Seat this morning. He also predicted Denver, Indy, and Chicago, with Denver winning it all.
grego
i cant disagree with the conclusion. i love how they gave our D respect with the third ranking, but i'm not sure they are quite getting what the D is capable of. nobody has mentioned specifically that since the beginning of december, the skins RUN D has been the best in the NFL - giving up just over 81 yards a game. when they went over the keys to the game for the skins, they mentioned that seattle is vulnerable across the middle defensively and never mentioned the skins dominance vs the run. i dont think anybody gives the skins a chance to shut down alexander. i think they will. herrmag
I believe they put our running game as 4th. Alexander was ahead of us, and I KNOW Denver was (not Bell, but the overall running game). I forgot who was in 3rd in rushing.
Dah-Dee
They did it based on the numbers.Coach QB RB Defense Not positive but they put Skins Coach 2nd QB 5th RB 5th Defense 3 Whatever it was it equaled 15. New England was like 11 Indianapolis 15 Seattle 16 the rest 19-21ish And then said based on the numbers we beat Seattle and Play N.E. in the SB. Yes, I heard this during the morning drive; I think they actually had the Redskins ranked 2nd for coaching (behind Belichick), 3rd on defense (behind Chicago and Carolina), 4th for running back (behind Alexander, Edge and Bell/Anderson duo), and 6th for QB (ahead of Grossman [at #8, which they categorized as a grade of "incomplete"] and Plummer). Our final score was indeed 15, 2 'points' "worse" than New England at 13 and one better than Seattle at 16 (whose defense they ranked last [#8] of the remaining playoff teams). They had us beating Carolina (total score of 19?) in the NFCCG. It's a silly little formula, but it was just for fun and definitely nice to hear! TD_washingtonredskins
Good to see. I agree with an earlier point that we CAN shut down Alexander. We did a great job in playoff games against great backs in Gibbs' tenure before (Payton, Thomas, Sanders, etc.).
qcraftsman
On their show this morning they picked the Redksins, Bears, Pats, and Colts. I'll take it...

MoeRedskins
Well, its nice to have some media behind the team, but I would rather just see the Skins win on saturday.
qcraftsman
They didn't elaborate or i just missed that part. I think it was basically thinking the Skins Defense is on a roll and they probably feel that they will cause turnovers and keep the Seahags offense off the field. J-Rad
That's pretty amazing. I respect them for doing something that has to be considered going out on a huge limb in the media world. Way to go guys. Hope to make you proud of your pick come Saturday. GO SKINS!

ChiefPowhatan17
That was in their confidence poll. I didn't get to hear the end of it. I was for sure that they would pick Seattle. You know Golic hates the Skins. aanywho, I am glad they picked us, but they are very alone with that prediction.:helmet::helmet::helmet:

GhostRider
I didn't think they flat out picked the Skins over the Hawks. They ranked several categories(coach, qb, rb) than added them up and the Skins came out on top.
RonBurgundy&Gold
I actually like their morning show For me its more "this is the only show talking about football right now that i can get in" than it is "damn, this is a good show".
