MAX POWER
I know he retired but JR would of been a nice 3rd, and it would give moss more chances to make big plays. Thoughts?
dchogs
well, he's old, and the coaches obviously felt that our stable of receivers gave us what we needed. btw, you need to adjust the size of your signature. you'll lose your priviledge of having one if you don't get rid of all that "empty" space. denquake02
I know Jerry Rice is (read: was) the greatest receiver of all time, but come on, the guys is like 83 years old and if he can't make it as Denver's number 3 we cant assume he'd even but OUR number 3. Fred Jones
Jerry Rice is done and is exactly where he should be in life, retired. He also would have to come in and learn the offense. He also doesn't play special teams.
Leonard Washington
why would jerry want to play with us? i'm sure he wants to go to a contender. :whoknows:

skinsmania123
Jerry Rice said if he could not be the # 2 Receiver he did not want to play. That is why he is gone.

RedskinsFan1987
I know he retired but JR would of been a nice 3rd, and it would give moss more chances to make big plays. Thoughts? Because Jerry Rice is about 723 billion years old, and he needs to stay home instead of playing another down.

Teller
Things older than Jerry Rice... 1) Al Davis. (I think.) 2) Hearing about his training regimen. 3) Dirt.
redman
Jerry Rice was beaten out for his spot on the depth chart by . . . Derrius Watts. 'Nuff said. I'd rather see what a team guy like Thrash or a young draftee like Jacobs can do for us than sign a (old) name like Rice. Besides, Rice has played his entire career in a WCO system, which we don't run. How exactly would he fit in with us?

SlinginSammy HOF '63
He retired when he learned he was going to be fourth on Denver's depth chart which tells me we have a sufficient receiving corp.
DButz65
J.R. was interviewed last week, or 2 weeks ago on ESPN and said that if he would come back, it would only be with Seattle (like if someone got injured for the year and they needed him to be a #1 or 2 guy), or San Fran , no1 else. dinzelwashington
he catches the ball and runs out of bounds or ducks out of contact instantaneously... signs of old age...every centimeter, every inch, every foot, every yard counts..this is a contact game.. we need recievers who can get every centimeter they can...tough smart players is what gregg and gibbs is looking for.. JR is smart, hes not tough physically anymore...

jrockster21
why would jerry want to play with us? i'm sure he wants to go to a contender. :whoknows: :stfu: Why take a pot-shot at the Skins in a Jerry Rice thread of all places? Man...some of you Brunell haters just can't give it up, can you! I wonder what you're going to be saying when we're 3-0 or better? Are you still going to be taking these low-blows at the Skins?
