  1. What if Bruce has turned states evidence (always wanted to use that phrase) and is singing like a canary to the coppers!?!? Cop: Talk or do we need to start hitting you with the yellow pages again? Bruce: Can't take no more. You got me copper. It was that weasel Snyder. He put us all up to it. All the wicked evil things that run through his mind. I’ll tell you everything that went down. Names, dates, payoffs, bribes you name it. I got photos, taped conversations, videos of their perversions and its all documented and hidden away where only I can get to it. Cops: Let’s go get it. Bruce: First I want complete immunity and a new identity in the witness protection program. Cops. Done deal from now on you work in the circus cleaning up behind the elephants and you go by the name JoJo the clown. Let’s move!
  2. Nor am I. What can we really say about someone that we only know from the image we view on tv? There are too many degrees of seoeration between us for me to be surprised by anything they do.
  3. Snyder is off somewhere in the south pacific sword in hand commanding his yacht. Complete Radio silence, scanning the open sea for torpedoes, and pushing F10 every few minutes on the Washington Post website.
  4. I would be in favor of holding my nose and making Bruce Allen the first inductee at Bezos’s Amazon Prime stadium if he helps us get rid of Snyder. Sometimes it takes a thief to catch a thief.
  5. On a side note the question of RedWolves vs Warriors just got relegated to page 10 under the fold. Getting me some popcorn and waiting for the Washington Post article....
  6. 980 WTEM is speculating right now that Bruce Allen may be responsible for leaking damning information on Snyder with the goal of facilitating an ownership change. Payback? XXXXXXXX Also:
  7. Just finished a 4 day two season binge of MindHunter on Netflix. Highly recommended but certainly not for everyone-- suggest a one or two episode sampling to see if it's your cup of tea. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/mindhunter
  8. And all this time I thought that mice were the ones secretly overseeing the earth experiment.
  9. . Some of you disgust me with your incessant whining over this nothing burger. Dear Leader Trump has already revealed to us that the true unseen enemy is TESTING! We must stop all covid 19 testing immediately. Then it will all just fade away into nothingness like a “half forgotten dream”. Any who resist this initiative will be dealt with as traitors. No mercy will be shown to them. Then we can all sit back and watch as America is reborn in greatness again. /s
  10. This is so absurd it’s beyond parody. It’s like an SNL script that was rejected because Lorne didn’t think the audience would buy it. Yet Navarro says it reverentially, with a straight face, like he’s offering the red highlighted text from the sacred gospel of Trump so as to enlighten the ignorant masses. Assuming there are future generations— when they study us what will they make of our apparent madness our incomprehensible capacity for self destructive delusion???
  11. Latest in the ongoing war on information and truth: beginning tomorrow all hospital data on Covid 19 will bypass the CDC (Faucci) and go directly to HHS presumably where more malleable political appointees and soulless drones can analyze, sanitize, and in some cases trivialize it before it’s disseminated to the public. I keep waiting for Rod Serling to give the epitaph to this surreal nightmare episode but it just keeps going on an on and I can’t change the channel.
  12. Here’s the podcast for those interested: https://the-kevin-sheehan-show.simplecast.com/episodes/fc-washington
  13. Exactly! It fits so well doesn’t it-- despite being written over a century ago. Then again, what’s a mere 100 years in this simulacrum of reality we call space time anyway? “The distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” A. Einstein
  14. Everywhere “it” goes it leaves devastation in it’s wake. Yeats was inspired by the 1918 pandemic when he transformed his magnificent fever dream to words:
  15. True, but it would be at the considerable risk of losing whatever's left of Haskins trust in the Redskins heirarchy-- something that might never be restored even if it was a bluff all along. In my opinion if we start hearing legitimate reports that the Skins are shopping Simba it means that Rivera has decided to trade him. Until that unlikely, but possible event the Redskins will no doubt publicly deny any interest in acquiring a first round signal caller. However, that doesn't mean that deep within the bowels of Redskins Park we aren't granularly analyzing and comparing the pro potential of Haskins, Tua and yes, even Burrow. Anything less would be front office malpractice.
  16. I agree. I recall Joe Gibbs 1.0 when queried about trading or using a high draft pick saying something along the lines of—— an early draft pick is a rare commodity and you want to make the most of it by getting the kind of player that is a difference maker on the field. He went on to say that if there’s a great qb and you don’t have one you take him— period. If not, you look for someone that can get to the quarterback and disrupt a defense on his own or someone on offense that can score touchdowns. Someone that must be accounted for when coaches make up their game plans. The irony is that I think that was the year that Gibbs selected Desmond Howard with the 4th pick. He never lived up to his lofty draft status with us and I believe we eventually traded him to Oakland. Regardless, that was an evaluation error. I put that more on Casserly than Joe. I think the general theory remains sound. I suspect that if Joe 1.0 had the pick he would listen to offers but in the end Chase Young would be wearing burgundy and gold.
  17. I assume the mods have already activated the auto-close feature and set it for activation immediately after the second pick in the draft is announced regardless of outcome. That’s standard operating procedure for threads like this.
  18. Synchronicity: B-Mitch on 980 just mentioned Scott Turner’s use of motion and so called window dressing and how “the best offenses like K.C. confuse defenses to get players WIDE OPEN”. He just said that he’ll have much more to say next hour.
  19. Ask and ye shall receive. Thanks Thinking Skins! Points one and two are pure Gibbsian by way of Coryell/Zampese. The urban legend which may in fact be correct was that Gibbs/Bugel only had 5 or so running plays but they were run out of literally dozens of different formations that were changed every single week and switched up at half time or on the fly if necessary. Which is not only a testament to the genius of the system and coaches that created it but also the brain power and dedication of the players that had to absorb tons of information and perform it flawlessly in the heat of combat with no penalties. Quite the feat.
