The destroyed bridge was part of Russian plans to lay down a railway stretching from Russia to Mariupol, said Andriushchenko, adding that the invaders attempted to intercept the missiles used to attack the bridge. The attack also revealed the location of new anti-aircraft missile systems in the Mariupol region, he said. There are two ongoing lawsuits challenging this statute. The state court lawsuit argues the law violates the Idaho Constitution. The federal lawsuit alleges the law violates the 26th Amendment's prohibition on voting discrimination based on age.
  10. Florida senior arrested for threatening Rep. Eric Swalwell Jan. 4 (UPI) -- A 72-year-old Florida man has been arrested and charged with threatening to kill Rep. Eric Swalwell and his children, federal prosecutors said. Michael Shapiro of Greenacres, Fla., made his initial appearance in court Wednesday after being arrested earlier that morning. A copy of the complaint obtained by ClickOrlando.com accuses the senior citizen of leaving the Democratic congressman for California five threatening voicemails on Dec. 19.
