  1. You don’t trade a 24 year old top 10 pass rusher for a second. I’d only move chase if it were part of a package to get a top pick for a QB.
  2. I don’t have any idea if you can look at Howell’s sack rate as a judgment on him. The OL and play calling have been so bad.
  3. We are a couple of injuries away from not winning another game. Imagine if we lose a LB, CB and OL. a top 10 pick at least gets us within striking distance of a QB, top OT, or Bowers.
  4. I cannot ****ing wait until we have a real GM. It would be so easy for us to have a competent OL and secondary and then we’d be decent. And every idiot off the street called this. It’s not hindsight. I wonder if we cherry pick from the eagles’ FO staff. I wouldn’t mind that. Regardless, I’d like to be aggressive in a similar manner to the Eagles and also build a team using some common sense. Also, never again do I want to see a coach shopping for the groceries.
  5. He has 5 sacks, not 6, but the rest of that is exactly how I see it. Chase has twice as many sacks as Nick Bosa this year, and the same number as Micah Parsons. He for sure is a top 10 pass rusher in the league and he’s 24.5 years old and may still get better coming back from that injury. No, he doesn’t look like the HOF player we all expected. But he is a real impact player and we don’t have a lot of those. want to try our luck trying to draft another top 10 pass rusher in the league with a pick outside the top 10?
  6. Jesus. He has 5 sacks in 6 games and had 2 today and another half sack came was taken off the board by a penalty. I know we all wanted Lawrence Taylor, but Chase is very good.
  7. Howell is on pace for 99 sacks? We are one or two injuries away from not winning another game. But, I agree, we could pick 12-15 if we stay healthy
  8. Ok, per pro football referwnce: Chase Young: 4 games 3 sacks 15 pressures 3 QBKD 8 hurries Montez Sweat: 5 games 4.5 sacks 14 pressures 6 QBKD 2 hurries Daron Payne: 5 games 1 sack 7 pressures 3 QBKD 3 hurries Jonathan Allen: 5 games 3 sacks 7 pressures 2 QBKD 2 hurries
  9. I think Williams. The other person he reminds me of is peak Deshaun Watson, but with a better arm. I like Drake may a lot. He makes me a little nervous, like most QB prospects. And I don’t love his TD/INT ratio this season, 8-4. I think Williams is going to have instant success, if a team runs the right offense.
  10. It is infuriating when a bunch of Extremeskins Joe blows make better selections as armchair GM’s than our real GM. We wanted Dawand and Ivan Pace in real time. Infuriating.
  11. It’s going to be hard to get much without them being under contract. This might be a hot take, but I might trade Jonathan Allen during the draft, or the run up. He’s 28, so a little older than the other guys, respected around the league, probably has a good bit of value, and opens up some cap room. I feel like Allen hasn’t been as impactful this season. The bears were running through huge holes right up the guy for bit yards. I’m used to seeing breakdowns in pass defense, but I’m not used to seeing us getting chewed up right up the middle. With regards to Chase, is there anywhere we can see the number pressures for each of our DL for the season?
  12. Can someone break down Joe Alt vs Olu Fashanu? How do they compare as players and in terms of strengths and weaknesses?
  13. Instantly electric. The stands would be full. If the number one pick is for sale, we go and get it. I don’t care if it’s three1sts, and Terry. He looks just incomparably talented. The arm talent is insane. Just a flick of the wrist and it’s a rocket. Off platform. Off schedule. He looks like Mahommes with better legs. Watching him is a little like watching Carlos Alcaraz. Spectacular results, but also spectacularly exciting/electric to watch.
  14. I hope they keep every coach through the end of the year as part of an intentional tanking. I want a top 5 pick and top 2 would be magic.
  15. On a similar not, I just looked up Caleb Williams’ stats for the year. Jesus. 1,603 yards 21 TD 1 INT. In 5 games.
  16. I wonder how much better a Greg Williams would have the defense playing immediately. We are awful. The fact that we aren’t at least average is, in my eyes, all coaching.
  17. Then include McLaurin in the package. We can find receivers. If we want one of the top 2 QB's, and think he's a top 5 guys, then I'd grab him and build for the future. As I said above, if you can get a top QB, you pay the price and grab him. The RGIII trade was a failure because RGIII got hurt. If the new staff wants to roll with Howell, maybe we just go all in on OL and try to treat him a little bit like Rypien. Killer OL and weapons and lean on the offense. Find some DC that can field an average defense. But depending on how the season goes, if the new staff wants to grab an elite QB, I wouldn't hesitate to include Allen/Daron/McLaurin. If you hit on the QB, all anybody would ever say was how smart you were to make the move.
  18. I would definitely keep Chase over Fuller/Kurl at this point.
  19. I would welcome that. Crazy question…if Howell keeps playing at this level, how much trade value does he have if we want to make some moves and grab a QB?
  20. I watched the game last night and we haven’t seen a QB here that makes big time clutch plays and has that kind of arm and accuracy here in forever. He has passes that we haven’t had QB’s here make in forever. The dime that Logan dropped in the second half last night, for instance. I heard on PFF that sack rate often isn’t something you can count on QB’s to improve with time in the NFL. But, he absolutely is going to get better with his processing speed and reads, and honestly, he looks pretty good in that area now for a 2nd year QB. He hit what, 11 different receivers against the broncos? It’s not like he locks in on a primary. I struggle with this. I don’t think he’s ever going to be a top 5 QB, but if we upgraded the OL and added a real weapon at TE, I think you could get top 10 production out of him. Which is another way of saying, I don’t think Howell is ever going to be the kind of elite QB talent to elevate a mediocre offensive offensive roster, but I do think he can produce T a very high level if you surround him with talent. I think he could be on a Dak Prescott or Jalen Hurts level.
  21. How much better would this OL be with Alt if he was the one upgrade on the OL? Also, I think Fashanu and Alt are both going to 6 or so. I don’t think we wind up picking that high, and if I move up, it’s probably for a QB
  22. I’m surprised there isn’t a better YouTube clip of this. Nobody else on the defense has the ceiling that Chase has. Montez is faster, but doesn’t have the this kind of burst/ quickness, or nearly the lateral agility of Young. I’m still hoping for a huge year and that we resign him.
  23. Brock Bowers is at the top of my list still. As long as we can fortify OL in FA and the rest of the draft. Also, WTF are we going to do about corner? BSJ committed pass interference at least twice last night, and I feel like that’s borderline the case every time he’s near the action. And then Forbes. I’m not closing the door on Forbes’ career, but we need to fortify the CB position.
