  1. Both things are true here, Jamin has been disappointing and JDR was a dick about it. Add his “ask the scouts” line about the new DT into the mix and he sure sounds like a guy saying “it ain’t my fault” without saying the words “it ain’t my fault”.
  2. I made a few posts in the gameday thread and several texts in my group chat about Turner’s creativity. We had some folks chiming in during the lull, with their same old same old posts about how Turner is an unimaginative terd that can barely tie his shoes. My eyes rolled so far back in my head that I almost went blind. The offense definitely stalled out there for a bit and like most OC’s with imagination, they tend to get cute once or twice a game. But how anyone could watch this offense and call it vanilla, boring or suggest Turner sucks is beyond comprehension. It’s almost like some of our fans cannot shed their biases under any circumstances. They just rattle off the same old complaints week after week, no matter how nonsensical they seem.
  3. No freaking way? Shes example #1 of ‘I can’t believe they let these people regularly call in’. Several hosts actually seek her out for her opinions and I always feel like it’s a joke I’m not in on.
  4. 100% unfiltered sarcasm. It’s an exact quote from earlier, that reads like satire to me.
  5. “You mean the one where the DB made exactly zero play on the ball?”
  6. Do all fanbases do this? By this, I mean determining the team isn’t giving 💯 effort anytime things aren’t working out. The opposition gets paid too, and they also want to win. Just because plays don’t work, doesn’t mean dudes are packing it in.
  7. So of all the hot takes I expected to see this week, ‘Jahan Dotson is just a dude doing what he’s supposed to’ wasn’t on the list. Sheesh. 🤣
  8. Is it that big of a deal? No. Is Jason Wright approving each item for sale? No. Is it humorous because of this teams history? Yes. Is Cooleyfans theory that they knew about it, but it’s also okay to try and recoup their money back by selling them, really odd? YES.
  9. Like the Jags, I expect the Lions to win more games this season than the last. I fully expect this one to come down to the end and whoever is best at crunch time will prevail. Ders 27 Lions 24
  10. Who exactly needs to chill? I’ve not seen anyone booking flights for the Super Bowl. I understand Jax was the worst team in the league last season but they had quite an influx of talent via FA, the draft and guys they got back healthy. I don’t expect them to lose anywhere near the amount of games they lost last year. Beyond that, they’ve apparently had Wentz #, and he went out against his old coach and for the most part played really well and led a comeback victory in his first game with the team. Its week one, wild things happen. In fact, the next few weeks will likely have much of the same across the league. There’s no reason to throw a party, but I don’t really see anyone doing that.
  11. I just checked Sharps Twitter and noticed his “Carson Wentz is who we thought he was” tweet with the video of the screen pick, and yet no follow ups with the next two TDs. Almost as if he only posts what fits his narrative. How convenient.
  12. Okay, they were all right and I was wrong. That was egregious.
  13. I am talking about the sum of the games parts, not one specific play. Lawrence has missed plenty of open guys today.
  14. This defense is incredibly fortunate that Lawrence sucks.
  15. Scott got cute on that one play but otherwise, I’m in love with his offense.
  16. Just chiming in to say its of no surprise to me that Scott Turners O looked quite different than preseason. 1 drive in, I like what I’m seeing out of him. And Wentz outside of the first throw (probably due to adrenaline), looking real good and fired up to boot.
  17. I see we still have some folks that pretend we are fans of a normal organization. Is there anyone left in the league with any ties to Gibbs? Off the top of my head, I can only think of Dan Quinn. So there you have it, if Ron doesn’t work out - our next coach will be Dan Quinn. Of whom will be handed all the same power Ron has, to hire his front office and all that. A defensive coach wearing too many hats - sound familiar? Dan has zero connections or skills to properly setup the organization, or even find a head coach on his own. The only guy he has left to lean on is Joe Gibbs. Be rest assured if Ron is sent packing (of which I don’t think he will) we’ll be getting the next dude Gibbs can convince to take the job. Folks need to stop pretending we are a normal org and live in the reality or just make the move and jump ship.
  18. I don’t doubt Mayhew, Rivera and the gang wanted Wentz. Only they wanted Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers more, as they should.
  19. I don’t disagree. But my point still stands, that Carson’s name only started getting tarnished in the month before his trade as a result of Irsay, and that it got worse after he was sent here.
  20. You say “the start of 2021” when I’m clearly referring to the end of 2021. Even at the end of the Colts season, in a terrible loss, the narrative wasn’t about Wentz being the catalyst of said loss. He was not a punchline at that time. It wasn’t until the Irsay hit job over a month later, that the narrative turned on him. Even then, many were taken aback by all that and questioned the motive and validity of where it all came from and didn’t buy that they hated Wentz so much they’d outright release him. It became popular thought that Wentz was absolute garbage nobody wanted AFTER the trade to Washington. You know damn good and well had Pittsburgh made the move for Wentz, it would have a positive spin put to it vs. what we’re seeing here.
  21. The news broke of the trade for him on March 8th. Literally every bullet point there was part of the Irsay hit parade, aside from “crushed by numbers guys” of which primarily started after the trade to Washington was announced. There wasn’t even a whisper about discontent with Wentz until he got Covid last season and even then, it was only a whisper. Seems awful odd that the guy was so trash, yet was totally off the radar, until a month after the teams season ended.
  22. I’m well aware of the Irsay hit parade that occurred around the Super Bowl. Of which did come out of left field. There was no talk about this dude being trash prior to that. Even after they lost to the Jags, over a month before the first article you posted, he wasn’t being bashed for that loss as if it was all his fault. There was some drama at the end of their season in relation to him not being vaxxed and catching Covid. But even then, I wouldn’t consider him the NFL’s biggest punchline.
  23. You know this isn’t true. He was not the NFL’s biggest punchline, until the Irsay stuff right around the time of the trade. In fact, the whole “Colts looking to dump Wentz” narrative came out of left field, because it really didn’t make any sense.
  24. My son really wants to go to a game. I found decent seats on seat geek, lower level- corner end zone, for less than $70 each for the Titans game. Then I remembered parking. I cannot fathom spending near $100 for a parking pass. I’ve got to imagine the parking lots have an abundance of open spots. Are folks really paying this for parking these days or is there another way to be within close proximity to the stadium, for way less $? Edit: Ticketmaster has them for $65 + an additional $16.25 in service fees. $81.25 to park. 😭 GTFOH.
