What thr issue? This is one of the most rational and level headed posts 88comrade has made in a while. This isn’t outlandish doom and gloom like usual, but a realistic potential . the margins are razor thin and there are 3 potential 3rd party options that will be on ballots in swing states. The Biden campaign is well aware of this and trying to negate the impact becuse they know if they all get less than a 1% it could still be enough to tip a state or two to Trump. it’s a realistic probability based on the current environment.

the answer to this is simple. People have short memories and many elected Biden promising change and improvement. If they don’t see material improvement in their lives, suddenly the other guy doesn’t look so bad. I know what the numbers say, etc but people are still feeling higher gas prices, higher groceries, rent etc and will take it out on the person in charge at the moment. its the economy. It’s always the economy and the tricky thing is that the metrics that were used for 30 years don’t necessarily work for voters anymore. im not saying it’s right but it’s easy to see someone that isn’t plugged into politics daily and hasn’t seen their situation improve a lot financially going to Trump. We laugh at this idea but these are the average voters imo. It may not even be a lot but the margins are so small, it doesn’t take many.

Bluey is one of the all time great shows. It’s funny, it’s heartfelt, beautifully written, and it is hands down imo the best depiction of what it’s like as a parent and the range of emotions that entails. and all in 10 minute episodes. It’s impressive

Scottie deserved. He was pretty much automatic with his iron play and when he brings the putter he’s damn near unbeatable

Yeah but it would be a bad idea to start with a Civil war concept with no previously established characters and world. There are no stakes or investment their Superman actor is pretty young so it doesn’t sound like they’d go with an older or established Superman story

Mario Party is a board game where you pick Mario characters and compete on various Mario themed maps/boards to collect the most stars at the end of the number of turns you select. It’s a lot of fun. Depending on what color space everyone lands on, after each round (after every player has a turn) you’ll play a mini game and it could be all working together split teams or free for all. The winners of the mini games win coins that can be used to buy stars, warp locations, power ups etc. the mini games are random and there are a ton of different ones. They’re a blast too, most are pretty creative. Some are sports related, some are hiding from other characters, or working together to paddle a kayak around obstacles, blowing up balloons, etc Games are pretty fun but the mini games can be tricky with the controls.

Hoping for a Bryson/Scottie back and forth the next 3 rounds. That would be a lot of fun. I like Bryson , I don’t get the hate. He seems like a good dude overall. Makes decent YouTube content, is good with fans, pretty smart if a little pretentious on the analytics side of golf. Hes fun to watch

well, I think a lot of people don’t pick up on this and believe Paul as justified and a hero. It’s why Villanueve changed Chani’s role in this one from the book to sort of show that more. People are still missing it which is funny because Herbert wrote the entire second book because people missed the point of Dune. DV then goes out of his way to make sure Herbert’s point is present in his 2-movie Dune adaptation and it’s still too subtle I guess. Can’t wait for Messiah tho…

it’s a nice start. The entire season rides on Rodon, Nestor bouncing back from 2023 and the health of Cole. If he can come back and be himself, they’re contenders. If not, they’ll get bounced early in the playoffs.

are you making the point that people struggling are just not responsible with money?

I like this change and I think it makes for a much better and more entertaining kickoff while making it more safe as well. My preference would still be to remove kickers/kicks from the game altogether because they’re worthless and dumb but we aren’t there yet.
