  1. Is the Sunday Ticket or other options to watch all the NFL games live available through cable? I thought it was available via DTV
  2. I'd bite the bullet and buy the Sunday Ticket before I watch a game 7 hours later. But that means DTV and I freaking HATE the 2 second delay when you change channels. I sure hope there is an online version of the Sunday Ticket by the time we move. I don't mind paying hundreds if I can just see my team play live.
  3. How long is the delay? If it's a few hours I'd go that route, if it's the next day no way. I live locally now but will be moving to TN soon, I can't even imagine having trouble getting a stream after kick off or having to screw with it during the game.
  4. I am one who believes WR is not at bad of a need as say LG. But you really do make a good argument. The Redskins have a solid team but other than Reed, who is never healthy, they don't have one player on their team that can carry you to a win. They have no Zeke, OBJ, or a Wentz. They have a bunch of guys at receiver and with a QB at Smith's level that may not be enough.
  5. This is why God gave us the power to invent the DVR. I can't remember the last game I watched live, or any other show for that matter other than the morning news. Everything else is started an hour late to skip the commercials
  6. Cable is missing the boat for casual fans like me who think soccer highlights are awesome but I'm not willing to sit through 2 hours of teams I don't care about. Hard core fans would obviously watch the show too.
  7. So last night I was searching for WC highlights on Comcast. All I could find was replays of complete games. Is this available?
  8. I think I'm one of the few who believes they may be OK with their receiving options. It's not a great group but they sure have bigger needs. Josh Doctson has only had one season, it's crazy not to see the upside he provides. With a bounce back year from Crowder, good tight ends when they are on the field, and of course a great weapon in Thompson I see the running game as a much bigger concern.
  9. This is how I see it. I am still a big believer in Doctson. If every receiver was evaluated after their first season plenty would have been written off too soon. With this new addition I think they are fine at WR, certainly good enough to spend resources elsewhere. Obviously RB and LG are at the top of the list, then they look at the defense.
  10. Hey just curious to read how successful streaming actually works as we will be moving out of the area in retirement. From the posts it looks like it comes and goes, not sure I could handle losing the feed on 3rd and 8 or struggling to find a link that works after they have already kicked off.
  11. I understand bigs take time to develop but Cheko hasn't really shown much development. He has clearly been passed by Bender who came into the season as a great unknown. Even with all the foul trouble the other night Checko never left the bench, that's another bad sign. This is year 3 and by now we should have an idea who he is. To me the freshman are so much better than the juniors, even this early, that they should and will get the bulk of the minutes.
  12. Loved all 3 freshman, as good as advertised. Huerter was my favorite player even before the block. He looks like a shooter who can actually shoot instead of a shooter in name only which has been a pattern around here. But I wasn't expecting that type of defense, he played it well all game. Our junior class of Nickens, Brantley and Ceko are simply not Big 10 players, maybe not even D1 players.
  13. Twice I announced the game was over, wife enjoyed reminding me of that later. What a great comeback, at the end this will be measured in the RPI as a road win against a top 50 team. We OWN Georgetown.
  14. Boy looking through this thread it doesn't seem like there is a good reliable site for this. That sucks.
  15. That was such a punk ass move and made me ashamed to be a MD alumn. Amazing how so many Terps fans thought it was badass or whatever.
  16. Hey I wanted to bump this thread to get some updates. I tried a few of the links suggested, one gave me a virus warning. I dialed in 506 Sports and got a great site that gives all the tv listings but I see no streaming options.
  17. I am really struggling to understand why you think they have a competent GM in place. We will never know the input he had during Shanny but this much we do know: His draft record in Tampa and Oakland was abysmal Sure they got screwed by the cap penalty but let's not let the folks who thought this was a great idea off the hook just yet He was the cap expert, this was his jurisdiction. It was a stupid gamble to take on the powerful NFL owners. He rolled the dice and it came up snake eyes, so he holds responsibility for the results of that bad gamble. Forget DJax, he fell into his lap. Let's examine the players Bruce Allen spent months evaluating before deciding these were the FAs to turn this team around: Jason Hatcher, He hasn't made an impact since September, that was long before he got hurt. Andre Roberts: He is a cross between Rod "50/50" Gardner and Antoine Randel el. Yet another drop yesterday Sean Lauvao: You know it's bad when a Browns fan is laughing at your team for signing their worst OL to big money Ryan Clark: Cheap and available still does not mean you sign a guy who gave us Madeiu Williams like production. Tracy Porter: Waste of a roster spot. Not one good signing here, not one. Oh yeah, he found a punter. Good for you Bruce. Let's not forget he had the final say in signing Rak to that franchise deal. Great move Bruce. Now the draft: one count them one player who looks to be a regular contributor. It's early but to date Long has failed to develop as has Moses. The rest of the draft yielded nothing. Faith. Do I really have faith in a guy whose response to a very viable question about the status of the team actually responded by spewing out some crap about a charity event? That was a clown move by a clown "GM".
  18. I'm tired of the "young team" excuse. John Wall is completing his 3rd season. Stop with this nonsense. I was saying it even when he was playing well, I just don't trust him when it matters most. Never trusted him to make a play in the final minutes. And last night mattered most, it was our season. After playing very poorly he needed a bounce back game, instead he regressed. I am afraid he will be fool's gold his entire career. I really hope I'm wrong.
  19. Of course you should feel this way. Any fan who does not feel this way has simply not been paying attention for the past 30 years. I really thought things would change when Ted took control But by extending Ernie he has proven that it's just more of the same. There is absolutely no reason to believe things will change here. FAs don't want to come to the black hole, why would they? So you can forget that. The only way to turn it around is to suck and get into the lottery. Of course that strategy doesn't seem to apply here as they've been trying that approach for decades.
  20. Let's not pretend that the Gilbert Arenas situation is our entire problem. Ernie stuck with group way too long after it should have been clear they weren't going to do anything. Trading a high pick for 2 players that were gone in a year was one of many many examples of why the team has been in this position for a while. His draft and trade record have been pathetic.
  21. I remember the Bulls series very well. It was the one highlight we've had inbetween 3 decades of 22-60 seasons. I'd say we've already "sucked for a while" wouldn't you? So why would you be surprised at all the whinning? If ever a fanbase had a reason to whine it's this one.
  22. Cry me a river. You had a dynasty in the 90's. Then after a few down years you had another playoff team with Heinrick etc. Then you got Rose and now you're back to contending. We haven't contended since gas was .70 a gallon.
  23. The sad part is Wilbon, who is pretty plugged into the NBA, says players ask him all the time "wtf is up in Washington?". This isn't Minnesota or Sacramento. Players actually like Washington and would be interested in playing here. But Ernie has somehow screwed up so badly there isn't any way out of it for the forseable future. His draft and trade record is worse than Ceratto. Yet he is sitll employed. That is pathetic.
  24. I ran into the same problem. There is only one place in the area, so I was told, and it was up near Baltimore somewhere. Sorry I wish I could remember the name. Being the only guy around they had a ton of jobs in. I had to pay a rush fee to avoid driving on a space saver for a month.
