  1. I just want to see Howell being able to perform with adequate protection. If he stood there like Jalen Hurts I think we would see similar results. But with a good OL we will able to tell just how many of these sacks are on him. Obviously he is holding the ball too long but on many plays the other option was to throw into coverage.
  2. There was a reason nobody agreed with you. Joe Gibbs was the aberration, his success was also last seen over 30 years ago. We saw when he returned that he could no longer make average QBs into Super Bowl QBs. All you have to do is look at the current examples with Sean Payton and BB to see what happens when they no longer have a great QB. There are countless more examples of that, there is only one example like Joe Gibbs and none in today's NFL.
  3. I don't feel good about this one, or this team and coaches. I see an ugly 23-17 loss.
  4. I am putting all my chips on the Georgia trial. Trump will successfully delay the documents trial until after the election, Judge Cannon has already shown to be incompetent and partial and will steer Trump clear of the federal charges he is obviously guilty of. I have lost all faith in our criminal justice system, at least at the federal level.
  5. I don't listen to BMItdh, not sure what station he is even on. Can you sum up the conversation?
  6. I don't know where all this trade talk is coming from. This staff needs to win every game they can to save their skin, they will not be trading productive players for picks that the next staff will be able to utilize.
  7. Yeah their window is closing for sure, but it sure is fun to watch. I get an embarrassing number of things wrong these days. This didn't happen for 40 years, that's when I cared.
  8. I was on record as stating that Kyle Smith had a better track record than the people who were chasing him out. I stand by that position, yet more talent we let out of the building.
  9. This is exactly how I feel. Other first round corners have not been protected, they started and in this league when you start you will be matched up against a good receiver. If they didn't put him on AJ Brown they would have put him on Devonte Adams who is just as dangerous. As I have said before I don't recall any player who turned out to be really good ( and this is the expectation for the 2nd CB taken in any draft) starting out so poorly. But I sure have seen a lot of busts start out this way.
  10. I understand that. But you said "we picked Forbes..." which is true. Just pointing out the people who made these decisions won't be making the decisions this spring. We all understand you still need competent people making those picks but it's still true that having high picks in every round will most definitely change things.
  11. I am not to the point of rooting for losses but they would end up being beneficial. You are right, nobody tanks for an OL. But having a top 10 or better pick not only in round one but throughout the draft, gives you far better opportunities and options. If they want to trade back their pick holds more value, again picking early in every round does as well. There could be a huge difference between the 1st or 2nd rated LT and the 3rd or 4th.
  12. Yeah well the bozos who made those decisions won't be making the decisions next spring. So this history won't mean anything.
  13. That looked to be the case in the previous game where they appeared to purposely holding their ground to prevent Hurts from taking off. Thursday they appeared to be trying to get to Fields and rarely got close, that is far more concerning to me especially given the quality of that OL.
  14. The problem with man to man in today's game is QBs leave the pocket and have so much more room to run as the defender's backs are turned. We see that all the time, the QB runs for a first down on 3rd and 9 and it's a back breaker for the defense.
  15. 5 days ago EB was being praised pretty much everywhere Days later he is now a moron. I don't believe it's EB, it's the roster comprised by morons. Passing on Gonzales for Forbes, picking Martin etc while ignoring the OL (with a young QB they are trying to develop) is going to hold this team back for years.
  16. I am back but sleeping in the spare bedroom. I just can't get fully onboard because there are all Snyder's people, his stench still lingers. I watch there games as I do preseason,, to get a look at the players for when the games really matter to me. But these games don't really matter as I know all the coaches are lame ducks. Now I may go into full tank mode. F these guys.
  17. I'm not sure it will look good to fire a head coach at 2-3 so I don't think that will happen. But it won't take much more to see it happening. I've also grown quite tired of all the praise this DL gets. They just aren't as good as we want to believe they are and last night they gave Fields a clean pocket pretty much all night. Against that OL. Pathetic.
  18. I'm in full tank mode now. This draft class may go down as the worst in our history. We traded up for a long snapper who can't snap, Forbes and Martin look like busts on October 5th, no late round finds.. Juist more of the same with this clown show. Thanks Dan for giving RR total control, his parting shot at us I guess.
  19. Not sure why you continue to be ignored but I'll respond by saying that comment surprised me as well. I don't recall too many big returns against them, or blocked kicks. We were all watching the long snapper, and I will never understand cutting a perfectly fine long snapper to trade up in the draft to select another one. But he didn't really have too many bad snaps, at least on kicks can't remember the punt snaps but I'd only remember them if they were bad.
  20. When you pay a "not good" QB 40 million dollars a year that will lead to problems. And the Giants have huge problems.
  21. Yeah for the longest time I gave the Giants a pass. There is only so much hate I have and it mostly went to the Boys and Birds. But after Mara's role in the salary cap penalty they moved to the top of my list. I too never understood the hype, when you give a contract like that to a QB like Daniel Jones it can only mean you are short in other areas. They have been trying to fix that OL for a long time and it is somehow worse. I enjoyed that game last night so much.
  22. This is an excellent point, something I've noticed as well. This just has never been a good blitzing team, when they call it they mostly get beaten by it. As for going for 2 I wanted it at the time too. But I also realized they never seem to convert very often so I was fine either way. They had momentum, if Terry's foot was an inch to the left they very well could have won the game on that drive.
