  1. In all honesty I was excited when the opener kicked off. By the 2nd quarter I literally said to my wife "same old crap team".
  2. I'm just asking if we have that guy already on the roster. He came out with as a solid center prospect no?
  3. But I was not talking about this year, I'm wondering if he can be the center moving forward next season. Have you heard any reports of his performance pre injury, how was his play in limited time this season and in training camp? I'm going to assume he is still rehabbing now.
  4. Obviously this is the time to lock down the LT spot but most of the pressure and problems remain on the interior. I've asked before but can't seem to find anything on Stromberg before he was hurt. Was he playing well in training camp? I have no idea. Center is a huge need and this guy came out as a good prospect but I've got nothing to go on.
  5. I think Ron and the entire team has clearly checked out. But I didn't see any evidence of that post cancer treatment. As posted above he has just never been a good NFL head coach.
  6. Jets game will be the game of the year, a must lose. Can't wait.
  7. Players like Gibson are easily replaced, the new guy could offer more. For all his speed I don't remember too many big plays from Gibson. He can't keep hold of the ball, has a lot of drops in limited opportunities as a pass catcher and just doesn't see the hole well because he was not a running back. I have decided unless Harrison falls to them, and I don't see that happening, they should just take the best LT when it's their turn and lock down the position once and for all. I don't really want to see big trade ups, I'm going to assume this new staff will be better at player evaluation so given the number of swings they will have just use their picks on BPA and lets see what they get. They can use upgrades at most every position so BPA will not only result in better players it will also fill needs.
  8. Yeah I don't understand why people suggest he can play WR when he has not shown the ability to be a receiving RB at this level.
  9. Still waiting for Lawrence to live up to his rep and actually become blue chip. Hasn't happened yet.
  10. This is one of the better mocks, I believe this will be fairly accurate. But I do question the thought that LT is not at the top of the list of needs. It's right at the top along with ILB and LG.
  11. Is this when they release the MJW Report? 🙃
  12. I think there is a good argument that taking a tackle with the first pick and locking that position down potentially for a, decade as the bust rate on tackles high is pretty low, is the way to go. But we are not getting Orlando Pace and I'm not convinced tackle is a great value in the top 5-7 when you can get comparable talent in a tackle rich draft 10 picks later. This team needs impact players, was Chris Samuels an impact player? Because that's what we are looking at. So my preference is a slight trade down but not too far to lose out on the top players regardless of position I feel strongly that you fill needs with free agents and go BPA in the draft in every round. Surely they can find a good tackle with so many high picks, and with so much cap space imagine what a solid LG and ILB, positions that are less expensive in free agency, would do for this team?
  13. First tie breaker is SOS and that's to be determined but Washington has probably a harder schedule from here on out.
  14. So am I rooting for the Bears to lose which will make the 2nd higher or to win to possibly make our 1st higher?
  15. I was going to make a comment after reading the Tweet someone posted about how since they got Young their sacks have gone up dramatically .I watched him on every snap yesterday, he didn't do jack. Although the Commies will be underdogs in each of their remaining games it's pretty hard to lose every one. I think they rise up and steal a win or maybe even 2 before the season ends.
  16. Imagine being screamed at all training camp, and every practice, and then thinking the coach doing the screaming is hindering the team's ability to win. I can't believe EB is very popular in the locker room.
  17. I can't figure out why Allen gets love and Payne does not when Payne has been the far better player for 2 seasons now. I have no problem keeping Payne, I've always felt that Allen has been overrated. He had one good year, his contract year. This year he has been invisible yet we see Payne every week. That was painful to watch our team get embarrassed with the country watching. I know we will be rewarded in April but man this is no fun now.
  18. I never said it was nothing special, I just said it was not historically special. Agreed, time to move on. Happy Thanksgiving.
  19. Again 1 TD is not "historically great". It's just not and that number IS significant if we are calling it an all time historically great season. The 29th ranked offense he played in in 2021 threw for 3,713 yards. 20 years ago the 28th ranked offense threw for 2,541 yards. I have no idea why you can't see how the era Pitts played skewed his numbers.
  20. I've had the same thought for a while too. If this is such a deep and good class for tackles why spend a top 7 pick on one if you can trade back and get a comparable one and add picks?
  21. 17 game season 1 TD At a time when teams throw so much more than in the past. Sorry I just don't see this as historically great.
  22. Is 68 catches for 1,026 yards and 1 touchdown in a 17 game season really a "historic insanely good rookie season"?
  23. I see no indication that the Bears are ready to move on from Fields. I like the idea of getting an impact player, regardless of position, with their first pick. But taking a tight end at 7 or whatever scares me. Is Bowers rated higher than Kyle Pitts? I mean Pitts had a good rookies season but he is in his 3rd season now, has 4 career TDs and I still don't see him as a difference maker.
  24. It's a week to week league, everyone expects the Commies to get blown out. I am gonna say they stay in the game until mid-way through the 3rd quarter. Then it gets away from them: 31-17 Boys un a game closer than the final score.
