  1. It's honestly hard to get a feel for what they are like until you play one. The first one I played was Dead Cells based on what I had heard/seen about it and I quickly was hooked on it. Once I played it a bit I was like "ooooh okay now I get why people like these." Oh and typically speaking, they are pretty difficult, and you will die a lot.
  2. Have you played any of them before or just seen videos of them? The premise is that you do a run and after you die you start over. But in that run, you gain stuff that is permanent to your character so the next time you go, you have something that is slightly better. And then you make it just ever so slightly further. They also typically have some kind of currency that you keep long term and ones that you lose after each run. But in those runs, you will have the option to purchase stuff (which will be different every run) that will help you. Alot of the stuff you purchase is a balancing act as well. Same with all of the free power ups you get. Also most of them a procedurally generated so you won't get the same exact run ever. Every time you play, something will be different. Then after you "beat" it and finish a run and make it all the way to the end, even more stuff unlocks that will make you more powerful, but since the next time you play it, it won't be the same game, you may not finish it again. Or it will unlock a new difficulty. They definitely aren't for everyone, but they also can be pretty addicting. I was pretty into Dead Cells for a while and Hades was also fantastic.
  3. I've been watching some of the crime documentaries on Netflix recently and have really enjoyed all of the following: Sins of our Mother I Just Killed My Dad Love, Stalker, Killer The Hatchet Weilding Hitchhiker Murdaugh Murders Season 2 Some of them are just 1 single doc, the others are 3 eps each. I think they are all worth watching and fascinating.
  4. So I never run into them again. Thought that was pretty obvious lol.
  5. Elden Ring is a bit different in that it is open world, and they did such an incredible job with that aspect. It's also HUUUUUUUGGGGEEEE in scope size as far as map goes. I had lost interest in it and the DLC coming out over 2 years after the game came out is just so far away that I had no interest. But then I watched the trailer and I'm back in lol. I like NEVER buy DLC but I will most likely be buying it especially in the summer when gaming is usually pretty dead anyways.
  6. That **** was an embarrassment to basketball. I typically enjoy both nights of the NBA All Star weekend, but this years was one of the worst I can remember in recent times.
  7. I've always liked the All Star weekend but the dunk contest just is lame with no star power and then a g-league white boy coming into it. Like dudes not even in the NBA and he's in the NBA dunk contest. It's just dumb. And the way it was judged yesterday was just bad the last dunk was no where close to a 50 point dunk it was basically a repeat of one he did prior. It would be more fun if they just scrapped the skills contest, had more people in the 3pt contest and made it more rounds, then had at least 8 people in the dunk contest. They also shouldn't let them get more than 1 attempt, and they can be judged on their 1 attempt if it's missed. When they make their dunk on the 2nd attempt it doesn't have the same impact as it would if they made it on the first one, because you know what is coming.
  8. Okay the LED court is cool in theory and looks neat but in reality, it's awful and just not practical. It looked like it was blinding everyone last night during all the competitions. They need to one and done the idea. Speaking of last nights competitions, the skills contest and the dunk contest were complete jokes. I don't know how they can make dunks better and do things that we haven't seen yet, but what they did last night was just bad. Almost everyone dunk was jumping over someone else who gave the ball to them, and then we had Jaylen Brown cover his face AFTER he did that. Like WTF was that lol? I loved how Kenny said that he sneezed as he was landing that had me rolling lol. The 3pt contest was fun as usual but the green blow on everyone took it down a notch to me. It just bothered me and I'm sure if had an effect on the players even if in the slightest.
  9. Wow I had never even heard of this game until today, and it comes out in 2 weeks. It's from the people that made the Ori series, which IMO were 2 of the best games last gen. Both of those games were incredible. This is a totally different style of game, but damn it looks great.
  10. Where did you stay there? I've stayed at Eagle beach every time I've gone aside from one time we rented a villa with 9 people that was past Palm Beach on the road that takes you to Arashi. That was a wild trip...
  11. Wow I've never seen Palm Beach like that. It's usually SUPER calm and flat with the turquoise colored water. I love that island, it's so chill and so much fun and everyone is just so nice.
  12. Bamas out here rage quitting in casual (non-ranked) matches.
  13. Probably because Kerr and the refs knew/assumed he was just flopping around since literally everyone who falls to the ground in the NBA usually does that.
  14. Kerr could have called a timeout after the clippers missed their shot and he didn't.
  15. He is not the only one who does that **** though, everyone in the NBA acts like they are dying when they go to the ground. And then they can NEVER EVER get up on their own. They will sit there on their back until teammates come to lift them up. I can't stand that ****.
  16. Based on the blurred out photos of fivehead in the video, I'm going to have to strongly disagree.
  17. They tried that one where Tyrese flew a car into outer space bruh.
  18. Or perhaps I was being facetious...
  19. There is a little mixture coming down of rain and small flakes of snow but nothing is sticking. The kids still have a 2 hour delay though. Moco is so soft about that ****.
  20. So uh ... maybe thread title needs updating? https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10109103-virginia-senator-says-bill-to-relocate-wizards-capitals-with-new-arena-is-off
  21. Norman Powell took an elbow to the face and it must have opened a huge gash. There is a lot of blood in this video so if that bothers you, don't watch it.
  22. You MFers benching over 300 with ease ... that is strong AF lol. If I lift with my brother again before I lose too much strength, I may try 295 or 300 to see if I can get it once. The thing that surprised me the other day when I did 275lbs with no spot was how light it felt when I lifted it off the rack, and then how easy the first one felt. And yeah I use all the lifting "tools" now to protect myself. I have wrist wraps I use all the time. I also use straps for gripping heavier stuff. i have knee wraps I use when squatting only. And then the past couple months I stared using elbow sleeves too which have helped tendonitis. Oh yeah and I use a belt too when doing heavy weight stuff where I want to protect my lower back.
  23. I don't really have a target weight I was trying to get to as far as gaining weight. I generally fluctuate between 195-210 for the past decade, depending if I am trying to lean or bulk, but I've had chronic shoulder issues that have been better the past like 1/2 hear and that has allowed me to put more weight up. Typically I'd start leaning up when I reaggrivated it and I couldn't lift heavy. But now that I can lift heavy, it's so fun and feels so good to see these tiny gains each week. I really want to try and get 100lb dumbells up for shoulder presses though. Just once or twice. I don't even think I could get them up to my shoulders though from my knees currently. i tried 95 for the first time last week and got it up myself and then 3 reps myself, and help on the 4th. I had tried 275lb on the bench with a spot before and got it 3x with a spot on the last, but this past week I tried it with no spot and got 2 easily which felt awesome. And then right after that I hit up incline barbell and can rep out 225 on there which feels great too. My squats are up to 375 4x which is the most I've ever done. When I was yonger 365 was the most I could do. So all of this strength feels fantastic while working out. But now I definitely am the least lean I've been in a while, which I'm fine with as I said I was bulking, but I'm ready to try and lean up a bit now. I wanna get to like 205 or so and see how I look at that point. Right now is the first time in like a decade or more where I don't really see any abs in my belly and I can tell my belly is bigger than it used to be. I've even had to move my belt notch over 2 slots if I wanna be comfortable. This past week I've been eating pretty clean, and on weekends I usually eat a bit worse, but I'm going to try and watch it a bit this weekend. I weigh myself once a week, Monday mornings before I brush my teeth, so that is how I tell if I lost or gained weight the past week. If I didn't lose any weight, I'll change something. If I lost like a pound or so, then I'll keep doing what I'm doing. Once I add in LISS 2-3 times a week, that will help a bit too. I'm going to do it tomorrow for like 20 minutes to start.
  24. At 42 I am nearly as strong and as big as I was at my biggest when I was like late 20's. I'm actually taking Celltech right now which is a creatine blend. My bench isn't quite as high as it was back then, very close but not quite there, however my shoulders are stronger than they were back then. My legs are a little bit strong now as well, and I'd say my back is too. Triceps and biceps are about the same. I'm at 217 right now and have started eating cleaner as of this week and will start doing a bit of LISS to try and lean up a bit. I am hoping to not lose too much strength that a bit of strength loss always comes with weight loss for me.
