  1. The Stolen Doc Trial is federal (along with the Jan 6 case). If Trump's elected, all he has to do when appointed is shut down the investigation, pardon himself and that's that. There's nothing the judicial system can do to him if he's elected. That won't be the case for the state cases against him, but that won't matter if he' elected to office. The GA case will also face significant delays as of this morning's report, so Trump might skate by completely in time for the election.
  2. The impeachment conviction was NEVER going to happen. The GOP would never make it impossible for Trump to run again. The GOP is the GOP, so we already know what they're about and what they stand for. I specifically blame Garland for sitting on his hands for 2 years, and making it next to impossible to get a fair trial on Trump with conviction before 2024. Anyone that knows Trump knows that he likes to delay as much as humanly possible. The DOJ should know by now how he operates, and been better prepared. We've had a lifetime of evidence that states that he drags and delays everything. The moment Garland was sworn in in 2021, he should've had a goal to get an investigation going with a target date of indictment by 2022. The whole point is to not let Trump get to the Repub Primaries by Fall of 2023 as a legitimate candidate being the gigantic national security threat that he is. The DOJ was too late with the trigger, and we all could be paying the cost of that with a possible Trump win in November.
  3. This is on Merrick Garland 100%. If he wasn't such a weak, ineffective AG, this investigation & trial would've happened much earlier and had been concluded by now. By dragging his feet on this, Garland basically gave Trump a get out of jail free card on this case (which is the most serious of all his other trials and the easiest to prove as well). IF Trump wins in November, Garland might go down as the worst AG of all time, and I don't think I'm exaggerating on that distinction. By being so cowardly and meek, he essentially could be responsible for Trump netting a 2nd term and avoiding prison time all together.
  4. Now that we have Daniels at QB, I do think that he will be enough to get us an MNF appearance or two. I now predict that we'll have 2 MNF games and 1 TNF game. I still think that we will get shutout of SNF, and that we will not have a 4:25PM National Doubleheader feature game.
  5. This, I might stay away from the Draft thread, it might rival the absolute worst that we’ve seen in gameday threads.
  6. This. Derek Carr (for all the grief he's gotten as a pro) has had a couple of pro bowl seasons, and a couple of playoff appearances. Maye wishes to have that type of career if he's lucky someday. Being compared to a QB that's won 12 games in a season and has thrown for over 4,000 yds in at least 4 seasons is NOTHING to sneeze at. These Maye stans are starting to get ridiculous. He's not going to be a Justin Herbert clone (just like Jayden Daniels is not going to be a Lamar Jackson clone).
  7. This. If most of the pundits (even the credible ones) are leaning Daniels over Maye, I think I'd rather listen to them over this fan base 10 out of 10. I'm not going to be shattered like certain people here will be if we end up drafting Maye, but it's funny to see how this board is so Pro-Maye despite all evidence pointing to Daniels likely being drafted at 2. Let's just try to support whoever we draft for God's sake, and not wish cast doom or predict boom-bust scenarios for Daniels if he ends up being the pick.
  8. This fan base is very toxic, I'm in disbelief of what I hear regarding both QBs, whether it be this forum or online in general. How can any of you be so sure that whoever we draft is destined to fail and that the coaches will be fired within 3 years? I think a LOT of our fans need to step away from the ledge, get some xanax or mary jane in them or something, and leave the drama alone.
  9. LOL, 100% right. If any team were to end up with the #1 pick in a historically bad draft, it would be the Wizards. This team will be just as bad record wise next year, but of course there’s no guarantee that they’ll end up with the #1 pick, especially if they get the #1 pick for THIS year’s draft.
  10. Honestly, who the **** cares where they finish in this upcoming draft lottery? This draft is so terrible, that they actually might get a player at 5, who will be a better player than who ever gets drafted at 1 or 2. This isn't last year, where if you weren't picking Top 2 (or at #1), then you were crushed. This draft is is all time bad, so who ever they draft might end up being not more than a role player at best. Next year's draft is where you will start to worry where they finish record wise.
  11. That probably had a lot to do with it too. Pittsburgh might be the only other primetime game we get besides the Bears or maybe the Cowboys/Eagles.
  12. This draft is all time bad, even with those two Duke players declaring. This draft class is incredibly sad, and it’s hilarious that this stupid as **** team decided that they should start their tank job NOW, instead of last season or the season before. The Bradley Beal deal will be the most devastating move this franchise has or will make for at least a decade. If they had smartened up and had cut their losses and not resigned that bum, their future would look a whole lot rosier. Ted Leonsis is the dumbest billionaire alive, and the worst owner in sports currently. Only the Oakland A’s owner might have an argument for being worse.
  13. I forgot about the fact that we play the AFC North this year, so we might have a possible MNF game against the Steelers. The last two times we’ve faced them at home, it’s been on MNF.
  14. Yes, I could see Caleb Williams Vs. Jayden Daniels (or Drake Maye) being a TNF game. Other than a possible Cowboys game on MNF, I foresee LOTS of 1PM games for us this season.
  15. It usually doesn't happen like this. Rookie QB's are never prominently featured in primetime, unless the team they go to is already a popular franchise (Steelers, Cowboys, Packers, etc), Jayden Daniels won't move the needle like that in any way for this team. We're going to have to win and win often out of the gate to earn primetime games later in the season or primetime games for next season. Washington is too lowly a franchise to be featured in primetime, just because they drafted a Heisman-winning QB. We'll get a default primetime game on a Thursday night or maybe a MNF game against the Cowboys, but that's all we will get. This franchise doesn't move the needle enough to be given primetime games. Our glory years were a long time ago.
  16. We really don't deserve any primetime games, except for the random TNF game against the Bears (or Bucs). We're not good enough for SNF, and I doubt that we're even good enough for MNF, now that it's gotten a better slate of games the last few years, and also for the fact that we have a new coach, and a rookie QB. I'd argue that we have the most anonymous, least well known roster in the league outside Carolina or New England. We don't have the star power or the cache to attract any primetime/feature games, except for when we play the NFC East. I might buy us getting a pity MNF game against the Cowboys or Eagles, but that's all we get. So, I predict 1 MNF game, 1 TNF game, no main 4:25PM games on FOX or CBS and no SNF.
  17. In a draft that many are labeling as the worst draft in modern history. The Wizards really are a joke in every possible way. They picked the wrong year to start tanking. Should’ve begun the tanking process last year, might’ve ended up with Wemby, or any player that ended up being drafted in the top 5. No player in this years draft comes close to anyone that was drafted last year. The Wizards will have to be this bad (or worse) next year, since next years draft will have better prospects.
  18. Am I the only one that absolutely HATES the stupid block W hats the team has worn at home the last few years? Go back to the Curly W hats at home. The block W hats are UGLY, and no one would buy that hat over the traditional Curly W hats. Whoever is in charge of their uniforms needs their ass beat.
  19. Unfortunately, it's real simple. He was able to con and scheme his way into owning a record label at the age of 23, so he's been untouchable for 3 decades. Once he got that $10 Million in funding from Clive Davis to fund Bad Boy Records, the rest was history. It also doesn't help to have the Hollywood Black Godfather helping you whenever you need to get out of a jam. Clarence Avant was a HUGE part of helping to shield Diddy from potential legal troubles and woes for years. When he died last summer, Diddy lost the only person keeping him from facing accountability one day. It's no surprise that Cassie's lawsuit dropped almost immediately after Avant's death. If you don't know who Clarence Avant is, look him up, or watch that Doc on Netflix about him (Diddy is in that Documentary).
  20. I'm glad this day has come. For people that really know what he's like (beyond the Diddy persona), this is a day that many thought wouldn't happen. Everything he's done the last 30+ years has finally come to a head, and he's facing an epic dose of karma. I knew the guy was bad news since the City College Stampede in 1991, and then Tupac's murder in 1996 that he was responsible for. He has a LOT to pay for in the after life, and here's hoping that this is the start of a long, slow and painful march.
  21. Unfortunately, that's our reality. Has been since 2016. The voting booth is the only way to make sure that Trump doesn't see another disastrous term. The courts aren't going to save us. The courts and the justice system always have mercy and leeway when it comes to the rich & powerful. That hasn't changed, nor will it EVER change.
  22. I'm no fan of Trump, but it gets irritating to see everyone hanging on by a thread when it comes to Trump's legal woes. The man will NEVER see the inside of a prison cell, nor will he ever be treated like a normal citizen when it comes to facing accountability. I learned early on that there is a two-tiered justice system, and the have's will always skate free in instances like this, and the have-nots would never be treated the same way. Not picking on you specifically Simmsy, but I think people have to stop being so naïve when it comes to Trump. He's never going to face accountability, nor is he ever going to be treated like a normal citizen. We're just wasting our time, watching kabuki theater. The one thing that we CAN do, is to vote in November, to make sure that he doesn't get the chance to become a full on autocrat.
  23. Allegiant, US Bank & So-Fi are the top 3 venues as far as ambiance, luxury and style goes, when you look at dome/retractable roof stadiums. All three have year long usage, with SB’s, Final Fours, WrestleMania’s, etc. US Bank is about to be rewarded with a WrestleMania, so it goes to show you how important having roofs are to stadiums nowadays. How cool would it be for the new stadium here in DC to have such big time events year-round? We were the only big city to NOT have Taylor Swift perform last summer, and the 2026 World Cup will not have any games played in the capital of the host country. We’re getting into a seriously sad situation with regards to our stadium situation.
  24. So-Fi & Jerry’s world will still get high tier players considering their options when it comes time to signing free agents and for those team/owner evaluations that come out at the end of every year. The stadium does matter when it comes to player morale, fan morale and team engagement. There’s a reason why teams like the Cowboys, Rams, Vikings, etc all earn high marks when it comes to fan engagement and enthusiasm. I want a stadium that rivals or beats the aesthetic and ambiance of So-Fi Stadium and the Vikings stadium, because we as fans deserve that after suffering with below average facilities, fan engagement and attendance for the last 10+ years.
  25. After last year’s debacle of a Spring Break, I don’t really care what the cops do. There were multiple fights and shootings right in the middle of South Beach last spring break, and there was a shooting that killed a man near a restaurant I was at. I have NO problems with the curfews, and people should know that the police down there (and the residents/business owners) are not lying when they say that they’re done with the Spring Breakers. I prey to GOD that they do the same thing for Beach Weekend for Memorial Day weekend. That crowd that comes here for Bikers Weekend is even more crazier and ignorant than the Spring Break crowd.
