  1. Yes, I think our new stadium will 100% be a dome or retractable roof. The goal of new stadiums is to function as year round entertainment venues. It doesn't make sense to build an open air stadium that you will only be able to use only 8-10 times a year (almost all of that being NFL games). DC is a world class city, that should be able to easily compete for major events like Super Bowls, Final Fours, Major Stadium shows and other events throughout the year. That only happens with a dome/retractable roof stadium.
  2. I was wrong about my vote prediction, it might be 7-2 or 8-1 FOR Trump. As I'm hearing this, the Co Lawyers haven't done a very good job at all in trying to explain their reasoning, and even the liberal justices like Kagan & Sotomayor are sounding very skeptical. This was to be expected in all honesty,
  3. It's an exercise in futility though. As long as they have a 6-3 margin, nothing matters for the next couple of decades. This will be the court we're dealing with for the next 20-30 years minimum. The SC doesn't care, and nothing will happen. Congress will NEVER agree to term limits or expanding the courts, so what's the point?
  4. Same. I hope no one is getting their hopes up for this particular ruling. The immunity case was a slam dunk, this one is much more hazy and flimsy, and the SC will ultimately rule in favor of Trump. I’m guessing a 6-3 ruling for Trump. Also, LOL @ the calls for CT to recuse himself from the trial, it’s an exercise in futility and a waste of time. He, nor any other conservative judge will EVER do the right thing, especially since there’s no consequences or threat of punishment, so it’s a waste of time
  5. It will be average to bad, if he doesn't have a quality OC to help the QB we draft. Quinn is a mediocre at best HC, so he's going to have to have a quality OC to help out on the offensive side of the ball.
  6. None of those guys were young offensive coaches like McVay, Shanahan, Daniel, etc. Two of those names (Shanahan & Gibbs) were already established, and Norv was more of a play-caller than an actual coach. We definitely need an offensive coach, because that's where the league is trending, and with a new QB at pick #2, we need the best offensive mind available in order to ensure the future success of that QB.
  7. Yes, 100%, I'd rather take a strong OC as an HC than Quinn any day of the week. They might just need to cast a wider net, and interview any OC candidates, including college coaches at this point. Don't settle for the plainest girl at the dance (Quinn). Try really hard to find the OC that can become a good to great HC.
  8. Wouldn't that be the capper to a Crappy offseason? Please tell me you're joking. I don't want ANYONE from the previous regime here next season, with an already lackluster HC in Dan Quinn. Talk about a nightmare scenario.
  9. That's the million dollar question isn't it. If they settle for Quinn, they HAVE to get a quality OC to surround the new QB with. I'm already bummed that we're settling for a mediocre DC as our next HC, but he and the new FO better nail their coordinator hires, or this hire will not work out, that much I can guarantee.
  10. Well, this has turned out to be a disappointment. As excited as we were to hire Adam Peters a few weeks back, we're now on the verge of complete disbelief and shock at being reduced now to Dan Freaking Quinn as our only HC candidate. I'm surprised that we didn't have a back-up plan for Johnson, in that we should've been casting a wider net than Johnson, Quinn & MacDonald. I would've been okay with MacDonald, but they should've been more quick to the trigger yesterday in trying to swipe him from Seattle's clutches. Quinn's inevitable announcement as the next HC of Washington will not be met with much warm welcome, and will probably put a damper into the upcoming offseason. They need to nail the assistant coordinator hires, because if we do draft a QB at 2, and we don't have the best offensive mind possible guiding the new QB, this offseason will quickly turn into a disaster.
  11. I’m really disappointed that Johnson gave us (and the Seahawks) tfw run around the last few weeks. As a result of his last second change of mind, we’re on the outside looking in when it comes to coaching candidates left. I really wanted an offensive coaching hire, but I guess I’ll try to convince myself that MacDonald could be just as great a hire, but I would sour quickly on our search, if we end up hiring Quinn. That would be such a let down, and Quinn would join the list of former DC’s we hired as HC that would underwhelm during his coaching tenure. I really hope it’s not Quinn. We had such excitement and enthusiasm, until Johnson pulled the rug from underneath us.
  12. No posts about today's perfect weather? It got to 80 degrees in DC, the warmest January temperature in recorded history. It's still 76 degrees as of 5:30PM. What a perfect Friday. Always enjoy getting these early spring weather previews. I despise winter, and I'm already wishing for March weather, when it's in the 60s and 70s here, baseball is back and the Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom.
  13. Those players highlighted were mistakes in the first place, and players that we shouldn’t have drafted. The Davis pick and the Forbes pick will set us back pretty good. We needed absolute home runs with those picks, and squandered them. I’m also looking side-eyed at Dotson now too. He completely disappeared this season, and he was dropping balls all over the field to boot. I’m not gonna freak out about Dotson, until we hire a new OC/HC, and we get a chance to see him in action outside of Bieniemy’s terrible scheme, but I’m worried now that we might have blown 3 1st round picks under the Rivera regime. I hope to God that he has a bounce back season, because I’d hate to think that we might need to seriously upgrade at WR now too, especially with Samuel set to leave as a FA.
  14. I'm the complete opposite when it comes to sports talk callers calling into radio shows. I can't stand about 90% of the callers into these shows. They're the dumbest people on earth, and what's worse is that a lot of these callers call in so much, that the radio hosts make time for them, and they're basically uncredited contributors to the talk show. The only local radio show I listen to now is the Kevin Sheehan Show, but I limit my listening to when he talks, and when he has guests on like Standig, Nicki Jhabvala, John Keim, etc. I switch off his show when he gets to the callers, or I fast forward the podcast version of his radio show whenever he takes calls from the dumbasses that call in everyday. Most of the callers are terrible, but one in particular that makes me want to blow my brains out is that idiot caller obsessed with the former QB Taylor Heineicke named Sabah. She is horrific, and the perfect example of why sports talk shows shouldn't take calls. She's loud, unintelligent about football and has an unhealthy obsession about TH, to the point that she brings him up every time she calls, even though Heinicke has been gone from the team for a year. Sheehan must be trolling to entertain her calls, but it's turned me off of him as a sane talk show host.
  15. You have a point there. 98% of hip hop artists are sheep or followers. They just hop on whatever “wave” or trend that will sell them some records or make them more famous. I respect J. Cole & Kendrick Lamar, because they’re willing to take chances, and they don’t make a majority of their music for the lowest common denominator. There used to be more of those kind of artists in the mainstream, but those days are long gone. Drake is a sheep and a wave hopper. It’s a shame that he’s the top artist in hip hop, but it definitely makes sense why current hip hop is so uninspiring and unoriginal at the moment.
  16. It's funny, but Drake should be trying to steer the current music trend in hip hop away from the lean/drill aspect. I remember when Jay-Z was the top rapper in the game in the early 2000's, and he changed from the typical thug/drug rapper into a button-up shirt, expensive houses and stock market rapper around the time he made The Black Album. Remember when the fashion craze in hip hop was throwback jerseys? Jay-Z literally changed the way people dressed and appeared after The Black Album, and dudes were buying and wearing button-up shirts and cardigans. Drake should be the main force in hip hop trying to steer us into something better musically (since he's the current top rapper), but this dude just likes to hop on trends, and tries to appeal to the younger demo instead. He hasn't shown ANY growth in his music, and in fact, he's actually regressing lyrically and musically. What you rap about when you're 22-28 shouldn't be what you rap about when you're 37, or closer to 40. He actually had better subject material and introspection as a younger rapper than he does now in this current state. Nas, Jay-Z, and other rappers older than him were able to evolve musically, and diversify their subject matter in their music. Drake doesn't know how to do that.
  17. I can get the Drake hate. I never really liked him a whole lot, but I can see why others love him and hate him. I don't really respect the toilet water that he's putting out now that he's calling music, but I appreciate and even listen to some of his older music. Drake turned wack, when he started trying to fit in with and copy the 21 Savages and Lil Baby's of the world, instead of evolving musically, like some of the other elder statesmen rappers. Drake is 37, he should stop trying to sound like/fit in with 18-21 year olds musically. It's not authentic, nor is it appealing. Nas and Jay-Z have the blueprint to aging gracefully in rap, without trying to desperately fit in with the lean/drill crowd.
  18. Evolved to what, exactly? Hip Hop today, is NOTHING like the Hip Hop we grew up on. It seems like the dumbest artists are pushed to the forefront now, to the point that all you ever hear on the radio is the same beat, with the same messages about bling, lean, etc. I'm not even going to get started on what female rap has devolved into the last 5-10 years. The biggest difference in Hip Hop today and Hip Hop 10+ years ago is the balance. For every Cardi B or Nicki Minaj, there was a Missy Elliot, for every Lil Wayne or Future or insert any bling/drug rapper, there was Mos Def, or Nas or The Roots or even Kanye (Pre-Kim K) on the radio to even things out. Those days are long gone, and labels have pretty much taken out the conscious/introspective rap artists out of the mainstream, and replaced them with the thuggish, dumber rappers who promote drugs, clapping back at "opps" and popping bottles. Hip Hop is not in a good place at all. It hasn't been for a while, and the numbers are starting to bear that out. Not many people realize this, but until October, there wasn't a #1 song or album on the Billboard charts: https://www.billboard.com/music/rb-hip-hop/hip-hop-no-number-one-albums-singles-charts-reasons-why-1235350404/ That's the first time since 1993 that there was no #1 Hip Hop song or album on the charts that late into the year. Drake finally broke that streak with his last album, but that's incredible that it took until the Fall for their to be a #1 hip hop song/album on the charts. I think younger people are tuning out Hip Hop, and finding other genres/artists to listen to.
  19. If we had a QB, I too would be upset that we passed up drafting MHJR, but since we don't, I can't think like that. We need to find our franchise QB with the #2 pick. I'm going to be excited to look at the tape from Williams/Maye/Daniels, to talk about/predict which QB will be ours by late April.
  20. I think that they should get rid of the black jerseys combo, but here's how I would re-shape the uni look: Burgundy Top/Yellow Pants (Home) White Top Burgundy Pants (Road + Home games against DAL, NYG, PHI) Alternate White Top Yellow Pants (Similar to Throwbacks). I'm a proponent for updating the look to more modern. You can still do White/Burgundy for the road games, but since the NFL wants to push more alternate jerseys (and the black ones suck), we can just do a white/yellow combo with the yellow helmets similar to what we wore for the 75th or 80th season.
  21. No we don’t. Sam is not the guy. He’s too short and turnover prone. We need to draft a QB 100% with pick 2. We’re not going to get the opportunity to draft this high again with a legit GM and owner for a long time. Watching CJ Stroud last night and Jordan Love today cemented for me the fact that Sam ain’t the guy, and we need to do better than him. We’re a franchise that deserves better than average and mediocre.
  22. You're 100% correct. Trump and Roe Vs. Wade are probably the best things to happen to the Democratic Party in years. No one sane/of sound mind would vote for Trump, and the Roe Vs. Wade decision was the one galvanizing issue that brings out the women vote like no other issue. If the SC Court had been smart last year, they should've never repealed Row Vs. Wade (or even heard the case for ruling). That pretty much made it a lock that women will never vote for the GOP in any capacity again, along with younger voters. If Roe Vs. Wade was never struck down, and Trump loses in 2016, the GOP would've been much better off, because younger voters would've most likely stayed at home, and there would've been no real push or issue to get them to vote in large numbers.
  23. It is at the end of the day. That's literally what this is about 😄 For the GOP crowd, it's a choice between Biden & Trump. For Dems, it's a choice between Democracy & Fascism. If it was anyone other than Trump running, it would be a choice between Biden and {Insert GOP Candidate Here}.
  24. I kind of agree with this. Turnout would be higher, just because of Trump. If nothing else, Democrats have more people that are willing to vote AGAINST Trump, than for Biden. I think that would be different if it were someone else other than Trump running for the GOP. It would probably be easier for those on the fence on supporting Biden to sit out the election, than sitting out for a potential racist, fascist dictator winning in Trump. DeSantis, Haley or Christie (even with their faults and warts) would beat Biden.
  25. We know they're not equals. That's very clear. If they're not equals, then Biden should have no problems wiping Trump off the mat right? Except that that's not the case. I'm seeing the same mistakes being made and the same blasé attitude about Trump that I saw in 2016, and we know how that turned out. The same dismissiveness that you have about the Arab population in Michigan, is the same kind of dismissiveness that Hilary had about Mich/Wisc/Penn, and look how that turned out. This should be a layup for Biden and the Dems, but they're turning a layup into a halfcourt shot blindfolded, and that's not smart or strategic. By the way, Biden might actually be lucky that Trump is probably the frontrunner for the GOP. If GOP voters smartened up and nominated someone more sane like Haley or DeSantis, Biden probably loses to both. Trump is literally the ONLY candidate Biden can beat (barely).
